• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi. Newbie question: When moving from a state (where Telluride was purchased) that requires front and rear license plates to a destination state that only requires a rear license plate, what do people do about the Telluride front plate area when it’s no longer needed?

thanks for any guidance

They sell these plugs that go into the holes that hold the plate. You can try to color match and paint them.

You can probably buy them prepainted to color match your bumper. I did for another brand back in the day.

@SC300ES and @MG535 thank you! I’ve got a 2020 Moss Green SXP. Any suggestions where to get precise color matched plugs?

Ebay. Search for "front plate cover plugs" and see what you come up with. Usually they will be white, black, silver and sometimes close to the color of your vehicle.

Interesting. Ok, maybe I should get the WHITE plugs and Moss Green pen if available like this:

Or this, but they don’t list Moss Green

Color is called dark moss.

You probably won't notice black ones unless you're looking for them.... Enough black plastic around the area to blend in.

Solution
Contact them and ask them to paint it based on the color code.

I've fixed my share of plate holes since I generally buy used and many cars come from Ohio that have front plates and PA doesn't. I've gone so far as having the bumper filled and repainted. I've used the bumper plugs and really didn't like them. Many times the holes aren't symmetrical so you got that. They also don't sit perfectly flat. I actually thought having the small holes was less noticeable. Sometimes less is more. A little bit of filler and touch up paint was the least intrusive IMHO. My last car, I left the plate holder on and got a plate I liked!
