• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... wondering if anyone is having the same issue... When I get close to something in the front I get a parking sensor error warning but only seems to be in the middle, left and right sides seem to function ok as does the rear. I've washed the car a bunch of times and made sure the sensors do not have any debirs on them and no visible damage either. I really hate going to the dealer so hoping there's something I'm missing here. It seems to have started shortly after the car got pummeled with Cicadas while on a road trip.

I had this issue happen to me. I would get a warning "Parking sensor error or blockage", when in Drive, on the dash info screen as well as on the media display when front camera is on.
The dealer had to order a replacement sensor. I went back to the dealer a couple weeks later when the part arrived and took them 3 hours to install.

ok, thanks Telly, guess I will make an appointment with the dealer then

I had the same issue. It took 2 dealerships and 3 months to figure it out. As an FYI, the sensor only comes in black. The dealership has to send it out to be painted the color of your car. I am still waiting 4 months later for the 1st dealer to call and let me know the part is painted after they sent it back 3 times and tried to order the right color:rolleyes:. I told the 2nd dealership ahead of time and they got right on it when it came in. It does take 3 hours to install as they have to take off your bumper. I am hearing more complaints about the parking sensor issue so I hope Kia is paying attention.

Mo sensors, mo problems

These things aren't invincible and are subject to the worst conditions your vehicle will endure. Replacement will be inevitable. I've replaced every one of them on the other car I have that has them.

Extra sensors, cameras and glass on the SX. More electronics and electrical to potentially fail.

Had the same problem after a car wash. Literally waiting at the dealership right now, they're fixing it as we speak. It does take a few hours it's been over 3 hours now.
