  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My wife and I just ordered a 2021 SX Telluride w/ Prestige Package (Gravity Gray/Napa Black) and I stumbled on this while researching a few details about the 2021. I am looking forward to learning more about everyone's advice and experience. I began researching the Telluride when I first heard about them over a year ago, as I knew we'd be ready to trade in our 2013 Traverse. We are really excited to get our hands on it!

Congrats! I'm still trying to convince my wife that the T-ride is the car for us. Unfortunately, with the supply shortage and crazy markups from some dealers, I'm in a losing battle...

Welcome Jason! Great choice.

You will not regret it at all. We had to wait 6 months for ours (FYI). But it is totally worth the wait. Just finished a 4200 mile road trip with it and it was great, the adaptive cruise control and cooled seats are really nice.

That sounds similar to our situation. I was ready some time ago, but my wife was really comfortable not having a car payment, which I totally get. So I slowly shared information about it and just kind of let it go, knowing the time would be right eventually. Then she comes home from work and tells me "Guess what I rode in today?"; which of course was a Telluride. :) She told me how awesome it was and that she really liked it. Just out of curiosity I reached out to the local dealer with some basic questions about the ordering process (We have never ordered a new car before) and it seemed really easy. I shared the details with my wife, along with the fact we were looking at a 4 to 10 month wait! I then told her that if we order it now, we can always back out and we'll still have several months of no car payment.

So, not sure it will help, but if you can find a way to have your wife see the Telluride (or better yet, ride in it), that may help. Also, knowing you'll have to wait a bit, will give her time to let it soak in a little and you can always back out. I can't imagine anyone backing out unless it was truly necessary. Our dealer did talk about how some were marking theirs up and that really sucks. Luckily ours isn't doing that.

Hope this helps.
