Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

Muncie Kia (IN) and Ray Skillman Kia (2 locations in IN) are selling at MSRP. I told the gm that I had a terrible experience at another dealership before coming to them. He said “oh you must’ve come from Napelton Kia” (true!). He said maybe he’s the dumb one for NOT marking up but he feels that it’s bad for retaining customers. 😊 I left Napelton knowing exactly what colors and options I wanted to order. I was in and out of Ray Skillman (Shadeland location) within 20 minutes and just received confirmation of 2/9 estimated delivery date (8 weeks after ordering) for my SX-P AWD for MSRP. 😎🙌🏼 Christian was a great sales guy and text me with updates often... even if it’s just “hey still waiting on a delivery date”. He talked to me on the phone prior to me making an appt with him. It was a super easy sale. I highly recommend.

call Christian at Ray Skillman Shadeland (260) 704-5860

Thanks for the lead, I just called Christian based on this comment (he's off today but we'll be chatting more tomorrow). I too have been getting jerked around by Napleton -- they won't even TELL me a price after a couple days of asking, which is not a good sign -- and I did reach out to Kia of Muncie but they are so backlogged (because of their good Costco pricing) that an order with them will take 6-8 months. Willing to pay a little bit more (MSRP) to get it in 2-3 months, because aside from my impatience my declining trade-in value will probably make that a wash. Hoping Christian can facilitate that and that he's a straight shooter.

Had a fantastic experience at Dutch Miller Kia in Charlotte this week; my salesmen Matt was incredibly helpful.

Came in last Saturday to look at a white SX Nightfall Edition, but it didn't have the Prestige package and I was adamant about wanting the heads up display. Matt let us know a wolf grey SX Nightfall was arriving by February 5th and told us we could put down a $1000 deposit to hold it at any time.

Fast forward, we heard from Matt yesterday that it had arrived early; he texted us a picture of the vehicle and window sticker. Called this morning to pay the deposit over the phone, showed up with our trade this evening, drove home by 8pm. 🙏🏾
Did they do MSRP?

Carolina Kia in High Point North Carolina. Worked with Steve Holt and am now driving a GG SXP + tow. Selling at MSRP, no addendums, no add on nonsense, everything was exactly as we discussed from the start. He even had them hand wash it before delivery as I told him to skip the wash as I didn't want the paint messed up. Not the highest volume dealer. I placed an order in November, he called me in December to tell me the exact car I wanted showed up on the list to be delivered in mid February, so I put my name on that one, took delivery yesterday. They also include a lifetime powertrain warranty on all cars they sell, at no charge. Just have to have the service and upkeep documented. Didn't pay for it, so all good.

Hi all, I'm also from North Carolina. Following the advice on this forum I reached out to Hendrick of Cary. They were pretty straight forward, but I contacted a sales rep because of good reviews on dealer rater and he was great, the next thing I know someone else "took over" the conversation. Still they were upfront about what they were offering. It was MSRP, plus a dealer fee of about $600 or $700. Not terrible. They sell a ton of cars, so, I thought they might be able to get mine sooner, they said about 6 months. Next, I called Lucas at Muncie and got his deal with real numbers ($1200 below MSRP) and no BS in about 5 mins. He said it could be 6 to 8 months... Placed my order with Kia of Muncie right away. Now we wait!!! :)

You won't regret it. I flew out to Muncie from Greenville, NC and drove mine home. Spent less than 1/2 the cost of shipping vehicle from Muncie, plus got to spend 12 hours getting to know the car. They picked me up at Indianapolis airport and about an hour later I was sitting in my new Telly. Craig hooked me up with EW and Lucas had me out of there and on my way home. Drove thru the night with small rest stops. Had a blast. There was no BS, just smooth, honest transaction, exactly as discussed. I felt the savings was worth it. Don't know of anyone else charging below MSRP. What color/trim did you order?

I got an SX AWD P/T in Black Copper with Black interior. Looking forward to the drive home. Will probably plan a mini vacation around it and stop a few places in the mountains on the way.

We have exact same vehicle except I got Nappa Dune interior. I've been towing my Grady White boat with it. The self leveling suspension works great! Add your details to your signature.

How much does your boat + trailer weigh? I pulled a 21' deck boat with my Honda Ridgeline and it did OK but ended up having transmission issues.

Good luck!!!
I’m s happy to report that I’ve picked up my amazing and gorgeous Telluride. It’s going to be such fun getting acquainted with all of the features and tech. First day out, I took it to go pheasant Hunting. The double takes and long admiring gazes at the mysterious vehicle many obviously had not seen before was e fun experience. You could see their wheels turning as if you say “what is that?” So fun. As bdd D today my husband drove it for the first time. He definitely likes it.

Quirk Kia, Manchester NH. Picked up my wife's new dark moss S today. It was one they had coming in, they saved it for us with a 1000 dollar refundable deposit. The vehicle showed up a week early, got the call today and went down today and picked it up. No shenanigans whatsoever. Sold it to us at MSRP (never thought I would be so thrilled about a dealer doing this), no markup, no weird addons...was out the door an hour after I got there.

A side note, it was funny that some of the other salesman were surprised to see an S in real life. They said that they go so quick that they usually are gone before they ever even see them.

Hi,
Just got an SXP Nightfall GWP with the Dune brown interior at Jeff wyler Kia in Batavia, OH (East Cincinnati). They have a wolf Grey SXP Nightfall coming too. They charge MSRP and do a paper commitment with no deposit for you to get it when it gets there. Which should be Thursday or Friday this week! Incase anyone is looking for that!

Cory from Bill Walsh Kia in Ottawa, Illinois did me right. No BS, everything went smooth right from start to finish. Very happy with him. Cannot say the same for Mike Miller from Bill Walsh Toyota in Ottawa, Illinois (across the street). He lied like a wet rag, fed me a bunch of BS, was ignorant/rude when I called to ask about the delivery date of the RAV-4 I was supposed to buy, until I could take no more of his ignorance. Went across the street with absolutely NO intentions of buying a KIA, and the rest as they say, is history. Go see Cory, you won't be disappointed.

This dudes forum name.......😂😂

Shout out to Kenny at Buchanan KIA in Westminster, MD. Picked up my SXP-N in Wolf Grey over the weekend at MSRP. For anyone in the DC area definitely check them out.

After reading your posts, making phone calls, etc etc, I put my deposit down today at both Muncie, IN and Hilltop in Cali. Experience with both Lucas and Lewis was great. Now the wait begins...

Sheriff Buford T. Justice. Love it 😂😂

Jesus Camargo at Royal Kia in Tucson was great. Quoted an accurate delivery time, order was correct, pricing was MSRP. No dealer addons, no bait and switch, honored his quoted trade in price, no surprise fees or addons at delivery. Paperwork was in order. Picked up and out the door in 90 minutes including the detailed vehicle walk through.
