  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi Everyone,

My wife and I fell in love with the Telluride when we first saw one. We held off buying one because we were also interested in the Genesis GV80. We finally got to see and drive a GV80 two weeks ago. While it’s a fantastic vehicle, we just didn’t like the overall shape of the body...a bit too wagon-like and reminded me of those Infiniti SUVs that look like a shoe.

Anyway, after striking out with the two local dealers who wanted to do a “market adjustment” for an ordered vehicle, I was able to order my Telluride from Ferguson Kia near Tulsa, OK. It’s a 2021 SX, Moss Green, Dune Brown, Prestige, Nightfall Edition w/Towing pkg. I’ll recede into the shadows now to lurk and learn until we take delivery.

Where in NW Ark? I’m in SW Missouri.

Thank you!

The Telluride will replace my 2012 BMW X3 35i. When I bought the X3 in 2013 it had 12K miles on it. It now has 135K. Overall, it’s been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Great combination of power, handling, and fuel economy. It never left me stranded, and other than a wheel bearing at 80K and a water pump at 100K, I’ve had no major repairs. The Telluride has some pretty big shoes to fill!

My wife wanted a bigger SUV than the X3. The X5 is too expensive and, frankly, I like the Telluride better.

My other vehicles are a 2018 GMC Sierra 4WD and a 2017 Corvette Stingray.

Hi David, and welcome to the forum. Looks like you ordered a fully loaded Telluride. You will absolutely love it.

High Five David! I pretty much followed the exact same path as you here in NWA. Ended up ordering with Ferguson Kia with a 6 month wait! :( I'm still scouring failcat to see if I can find a dealer who is willing to sell one that is available earlier at not too crazy a 'market adjustment'. Proving to be real hard!

I’m still waiting for mine. We ordered around the first of February, so it’s been 7 months and we don’t even have an estimated arrival date.

Ughh! I hope you hear some good news soon. Should have the VIN though right?

I too ordered from Ferguson Kia, on March 17 2021. I picked up my ELS AWD N/P on August 25 2021. My Telluride is a 2022 SX with Dune interior. I'm in Love!!! It is a beautiful SUV. Dealing with Ferguson Kia was GREAT. No BS. Used my Credit Union.

Finally. We picked up the Telluride yesterday, 42 weeks after ordering (slightly longer than a baby would have taken). My initial impressions: It’s gorgeous. I love the the Dark Moss/Dune Brown color combo. We drove it back from Tulsa (about 2 hours). It handles well and had decent power. The ride is a little stiffer than I would like (considerably stiffer than my C7 Corvette), but the road we were driving on is terrible, so I I may revise my opinion or just get used to it. Some of the nanny features are too intrusive and annoying, but I’ll dig into the manual and adjust or turn off the stuff that really bugs me. I’m looking forward to a long and happy relationship. I traded in a 2012 BMW X3 35i that I drove 135,000 miles. It was probably the best vehicle I’ve ever owned, so the Telluride has some big shoes to fill.
