Head rest issue

I removed the back seat head rest (the one behind the driver's seat) to put in a child's seat for a couple of weeks in my Kia Telluride. When I put the headrest back on, I accidentally put it on backwards. Unfortunately, it will now not move, even when I depress the release button, the one shown by the red arrow in the attached photo. The button depresses fine, but there's no way to move the head rest out, nor can it be moved down any further. Any ideas on how to get this head rest out so I can turn it around and put it in properly?
