I still need to take pics of mine at a distance. The tough part is everywhere I go there’s to much light around. I don’t want to take a pic of a open field or the side of the road. I need a back drop with depth Like a abandoned building with no lighting around .Yeah I'll post pics and let you know how the install is.
Back on page 6 the conversation got a little off topic, lol. The pic of his wheels did not attach to my reply.I think your in the wrong category. This is talking about lights and Headlight upgrades.
Hey Lance. just got the bulbs in. You were able to fit everything inside and put the cap back on? Did you have to turn the bulb at all or did it just go right in?![]()

They fit nicely. After removing the “cap” and less than a quarter turn to remove the OEM halogens, I plugged up the Twelvolts. Then inserted with the black wire down (LEDs facing up) and locked in place. The black wire fit back in the housing nice enough for the cap to go back on. The white color matches the daytime driving light led almost perfectly.
I’m glad you like them !! I can’t say anything bad about the install or the performance of the LEDs from (company Twelvolt) there from Florida and are a private LED and HID company . For anyone that wants more info just do you do diligence and look back a couple pages and read what we have been talking about for the last month. There’s phone numbers and emails for contacting this extremely friendly and open company that I personally did not know before I talked to a member here named “Clack”. He bought the LEDs first In my opinion on this forum and showed the results through pictures and testimony. I was sold and called them up and got a ton of information and very professional advice. I’m extremely happy with the product and would recommend it to any “Telluride “ owner. Sorry that this was a long post but I wanted to clean up to everyone here my stance and help others in there decision going forward.Just put them in Lance. You're right. Everything fits right inside. I agree with Lance. The Twelvolt LED chip orientation for the Telluride’s (LX, S, EX) projector housing appears to work well. I’m only a couple days in and I don’t notice any dark spots. The service from the company was awesome.I’m glad you like them !! Definitely a great bulb. Looks good and really improves the vision. I do not notice dark spots either. And Brett was very helpful. Well worth it.I agree with Lance. Can you take pics of the lights And merry ChristmasI just installed the Twelvolt LED bulbs (woohoo!). Here are the steps I took:
Removing the OEM halogen bulb (I had to use a flashlight):
1. Remove bulb housing cap (it's black plastic ~3" round shaped cap) - it's screwed on so twist off
2. Disconnect the black plastic wire pin connector from OEM bulb (you'll see connector at the bottom) - pull the side tab out a little, then pull down gently to disconnect.
3. Pinch OEM bulb's sides and turn counter clockwise (top of bulb towards engine) about 1/8 of circle turn until it becomes loose (For me, this was very difficult as the bulbs were in there tight so it took me a while to work at it. I almost removed the coolant container on passenger side to gain more space, but decided to power through it). There is hardly any room behind the bulb assemblies so watch out for scrapes and cuts on your knuckles (the circular plastic shroud surrounding the bulb housing is sharp).
***Take note of the 3 tab positions as you pull the bulb out of the housing as you'll need to position the new bulb's tabs in the same orientation.
4. Bandage up bleeding knuckles.
Installing the Twelvolt LED bulb:
1. Position bulb so that the 3 tabs line up with the housing's indents (black wire pointing down 1/8 turned), carefully insert firmly into the housing, then twist (clockwise). It took me some trial and error to make sure all 3 tabs were twisting behind the metal slots.
2. Connect the LED wire pin end to the car's wire connection.
3. Insert the connected wire pin housing (black) and the LED ballast around the side of the bulb (there's enough space, barely).
4. Screw the bulb housing cap back to complete the install.
It's still daylight so I can't personally confirm how improved the new lights will be, but I'm 100% confident they'll be awesome.
Merry Christmas!
