• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Our Telly has no backlight omg on the headlight and windshield control arms. First is this normal & second if it is it's dangerous. These arms have numerous functions that aren't all that intuitive and trying to use them at night is guesswork.

These aren’t illuminated in my MDX either, so I’d say it’s typical or at least not KIA exclusive. I never noticed till now. I guess I learned them during the day, and never thought about it at night.

Yes, normal that they are not backlit. Fog light and intermittent/sensitivity wiper controls are easy to feel by touch if they are in the upper or lower positions. The switch even extends to behind the stalks.

As for determining which headlight or wiper speed settings you are on at night, use the trusty cluster screen for that. Not only does it show you which setting you are on, it is a way more readable font size and right in your field of view as opposed to the tiny lettering your would need to decipher on the stalk itself at night.

It would have been nice if they did put some backlighting on them, however, when you change functions such as changing the wipers from low to high, or the headlights from auto to on, it temporarily displays this on the info screen in front of you. I know that may not be the "answer to the problem" but it helps.

Thanks folks, you are right it's on the screen, but everything else is lit so it just seems like they forgot to put the lights in.
