I'm looking for a Telluride SX Prestige package, but don't know if I want to wait the months out will take to get one. I also want to trade in my Sorento, but feel by placing an order for one all leverage is lost for the trade in. Any advice on this from someone that traded in their vehicle. If it's too long a wait, I may go with the Volvo XC90 instead. I like the look and size of the Telluride more, but also really like the safety and handling of the Volvo. Any thoughts on this?

Welcome to the forum! I did look at the XC90 at one point. I like the styling the reputation for being a safe vehicle, etc. But that was short lived since the cost of the model/features I wanted and all the other maintenance cost was just too much for our budget.

We recently had a member here talk about her collisions in a Telluride and how she walked away from both. She bought another one so safety in this vehicle is good. You could always search dealer stock through the Failcat website; there is a thread on this forum discussing it. Happy hunting

I too considered the XC90, VW Atlas, Acura MDX, Lincoln Aviator, Infiniti QX60, and several others... for the value and features and space, I went with the Telly SX Prestige. Can't wait to get it!

Welcome, I'm on my second Telluride. My first one was 2020 Ex GRAVITY GREY EXTERIOR, I was in two major accidents with this one. The first time the insurance company paid to fix it. The second time around wasn't so lucky with fixing it, it was a total loss. I walked away from both accidents The Safety is everything with the Telluride, number one in my book! So when it was time to look for another vehicle, my husband said you are getting another one. So this time I have a 2021 SX NIGHTFALL WHITE EXTERIOR. All and all I love the Telluride hands down! I no more accidents with this one.

Glad to hear you walked away unharmed. Awesome to hear about the safety. Makes me feel better about that piece of it. Now it's just trying to figure out how to get one sooner rather than later.

Well if you live in the DMV area, there's several car dealership that have them. Darcars Kia Lanham, Maryland have 2 of them, Kia Chantilly Virginia have 12 of them, Laurel Kia, Maryland have 5. I got both of mine from Darcars Kia. I wish you luck on getting your Telluride.

Thank you, but I'm in MN. I want to get one, but the only way is to order it. If I could go in and buy an SX Prestige at MSRP, I'd do it today. At this point I have visited 5 dealerships and all have told me I need to order them. I'm thinking of waiting a bit and ordering the 2022's with the new logo, if I can wait that long.

I ordered in Aug and they told me a few weeks ago that the delivery date is 2/26.

Yes. I was told anywhere from 5-8 months.

Good morning, Depending on how bad you want you might have to travel to get one. Look up a couple of dealers that's 25 miles range from you. You can also have the truck transfer from one dealer to another. Just some idea's to help you out.

I appreciate the idea, thank you! At this point I don't need it, however, I just really want it. That said, I will look around and see if it's worth it or see if I just order or wait. Thanks!
