Help - Apple Play and Android Auto

I am coming from a 2007 Volvo XC90 with no Bluetooth . So this new Telly is a little overwhelming with the apple play and android auto. I like to use the apple play and have my waze map up on the screen. Is it possible to then listen to a playlist that I have in my Amazon music ap? Or do I have to use the Apple Music because I plugged in on CarPlay? Any help or advice on using these two things appreciated!

Try it - it has a good chance of working. I say this because I have a couple of "Talk Radio" apps that play fine through the Car system, when I have my iPhone hooked up. One of the apps doesn't show up on the screen when I access apps on the car screen, but if I start playing a station from the App on the phone, it plays through the system just fine.
