• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... FWIW - thought I'd share an additional lighting fixture I added...

Was rear ended a number of years ago and have also seen too many people with burned out run/turn/brake lights. And, while DRLs are nice up front - what about the rear...?

Added this to my SX... Amazon.com: Bully CR-007XL Universal Extra Large Tow Hitch Cover/Receiver Trailer Plug in Black with LED Brake Light with No Manufacturer Logo or Emblem - Car, SUV and Truck Accessories: Automotive

Unfortunately, it comes with incandescent bulbs, ordered LED replacements from superbrightleds (also shown below are LED replacements for license plate lights from SBL)
(Note LEDs are red - works best when LED bulb color matched lens color)

Here's how it looks... outside positions act as running/brake/turn, middle is running/brake, all three as emergency flashers. Have the running function wired to an 'on with ignition' circuit, so they are on whenever the car is on (effectively DRLs for the rear). Pretty much matches the stock rear LED as far as intensity, low or high...

CLEAN I don't have tow package :(

OK - one thing I discovered last evening... it appears when using 'Auto Hold' the regular (stock) 3 brake lights stay on in auto hold when you release the brake after coming to a stop (as they should)... the hitch light brake function does not...? Implies if towing a trailer and using auto hold (let's not debate if that's something you should do) the trailer lights would not show brake lights if releasing the brake... not a good thing.

Anyone tow a trailer that can confirm or deny this activity...

I don't mind for the hitch light operation - but, that would be unsafe with a trailer...

Thanks.
