• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... We plan on keeping the vehicle for at lest the next 5 years, and potentially more depending upon the reliability and our needs.

How long do you plan on keeping your Telluride?

My only gripe is the MPG. Telluride MPG is better than the 2005 Sienna that it replaced and it's reasonable vs. its competitors, but Highlander was top of my list for this very reason even though it has cramped 3rd row and less storage space in general. If Kia introduces a hybrid model in the near future, I will trade mine in in a heartbeat.

I just received an online survey and that was one of the questions if a hybrid version were offered would it be a consideration. I voted yes! 0-60 is not as important as MPG. I already have a quick and fast car!!

I must go find that posting and cast my vote!
EDIT: I think I also received only survey and I'm pretty sure I indicated my interest in hybrid version.

Driving the AWD EX now, but as soon as demand comes back down to earth, will be trading it in for a AWD SX Prestige. Same color combo: Boss Moss and grey.

This survey was titled Kia Telluride Owner Survey from
Kia and MaritzCX <surveys@jibunumail.com>

Took about 15 min to fill out, got a wopping $10 Amazon Gift card at the end. Filled it out during my morning coffee!

I did this one for the Stinger. Expect a follow up one here in a couple months.

For me: at least 3 years, then evaluate A) where auto industry is heading (hybrids, tested and proven self driving cars etc etc) and B) how Telluride is performing (issues, reliability etc etc) and C) my personal like/dislike and take a call to whether to trade in or continue & repeat ABC every year or so.

Bumping up this thread as we now have new owners on this site.

Our revised plan is to keep it for exactly 10 years, unless it becomes unreliable. Having a reliable vehicle is extremely important for us.

i tend to keep cars 7-8 years, might stretch this to 10 given the powertrain warranty provided other stuff does not give any major headaches.

If you want a similar three-row SUV for less money and far better fuel economy, have a look at the GAC GS8.

We will keep it until either it irritates me or something brighter, newer and more flashy comes along....

For its entire life. Hopefully passing it onto my son

Hopefully for a very long time. Had my last toy for 11 years and never got tired of it.
The first long road trip will help with the decision - I expect a quiet ride!

Same here. By-the-way, re: mileage, I've been doing an experiment with our AWD "S" to see what the best mileage is that I can wring out of it. So, in ECO mode, with mixed Hwy/City driving and a lot of gliding to (not quite full) stops, and very gentle starts when no one is behind me, I've managed to eke out 27mpg which I'm very happy with. It's been a fun challenge.

That’s very good for AWD! I get about 28 in my fwd without really focusing on driving economically

Once level 4 autonomous vehicles with seating for 7 are affordable. 10 years!

I wouldn’t trust 1 life on level 5, let alone 7 lives on a level 4, no thanks. Of course, this is just MHO.
