• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I’ve been driving my new 2020 Kia Telluride SX Prestige for two weeks. I have some thoughts.

FYI, you can turn the volume off for the blind spot monitor and the steering wheel vibrates when someone is there. Plenty of notice for me!

Wouldn’t turning off warning tones also turn off for al the other assist services? Like forward collision and lane departure? I didn’t see separate volume options for those.

The phillips head works for all but the SX models since they have the factory LED housings, for it you need a T-60 torx bit and the adjuster is on the back of the head ight assembly.

Interesting because a philips worked for me on my SXP AWD with the LED headlamps you speak of. And my adjustment is in the top as I described.

I’m here to answer questions because I’ve seen a lot of posts and questions about the new Telluride.

I also have a 2017 Kia Optima SXL that I love.

I can post pictures of whatever you all would like to see.

Some of my favorite features:

-It is very fast in sport. I honestly have no way to describe it. It without a doubt would beat my 2.0L Turbo Optima in a drag race. It takes off so fast it feels like a rocket but I guess that’s a perk of a V6 engine? Anyways, I love it.

-The ability to remote start it from the myuvo app is amazing

-I love the quality of the Harman Kardon sound system. Of course I have similar sound system in my Optima. -The Quantum Logic Surround feature does perform better in my Optima I think due to the smaller cabin side and the driver being closer to the speakers. I feel like the middle row of seats in the Telluride sort of blocks some of the sounds coming from the back speakers. -The bass boosting feature makes up for it. It really bumps lol. https://www.androidfreewares.com

-The interior is beautiful, the (imitation) wood grain looks amazing.

-I like that you can change the colors of the interior ambient lighting. It’s just a fun little touch.

-I use those cargo hooks way more than I thought I would.

Things that Lowkey bother me:

-The second row seats have a nice feature where you can push a button and the seat slides forward so that people can climb into the third row seats. But, I really wish that a button could also put the seat back into regular position. The seat is fairly heavy... Not so easy for children and even weak adults to push back. It would be nice to have that option.

-I wish the front sunroof shade was power. I know that’s a lot to ask but it would have been a nice touch, especially on the Prestige model. Granted, I am used to a power sunroof shade in my Optima.

-I wish the driver didn’t have to go to an entirely separate menu screen to simply turn on the rear climate.

And finally... the little thing that irritates me the most: the “move” button on the steering wheel that you push up or down to skip to the next song is BACKWARDS. In my optima, to skip to the next song you push the button upward. To skip to the next song in the Telluride, you push the button downward. I’m not sure why but this really irks me because I have to retrain my brain every time I switch cars... which I do very frequently.

Anyways, these are just a few things that I personally love/ think about about the most. I am happy to answer questions about anything else you would like to know!
The "down" vs. "up" really irritates me whole soul...lol I'm still getting used to it, I've only had my Telly for 1 week.

@evonmispets I'm not up to two weeks, so I'll reserve my comprehensive opinion for awhile. I think my biggest feedback coming from a 2016 Sorento and 2018 Sportage is that the Telluride seems to have a lot more outside air particulates that come through the HVAC system. My wife has severe allergies and in both of our previous Kia cars there is both a micro particle air filter and an air ionizer (YouTube video) to keep the cabin air fresh. In everything I've read, I've not seen this typical Kia feature mentioned in their marketing materials. Not only that, but the Hyundai Palisade site actually emphasizes it as a feature.

I've called both my local dealer Kia parts and service teams. Neither one of them knew anything about either the current air ionizer or whether or not the Telluride had it (both of them new--I wish I had my old service manager back). Nor could the find a part for the ionizer in the parts or service database. I'm wondering if this is a cost cutting measure on Kia's part?

The other item is my vehicle was delivered with 20 inch tires 10 lbs OVERPRESSURIZED. This not only contributes to a harsher ride, but could be a safety issue.

One of the things that has been a very pleasant surprise is how good the phone voice quality is through Bluetooth. I think the quiet cabinet has a lot to do with it. But when my wife is driving and I call her (from a different location) the call quality is perfect. Hard to tell she's in a car driving. She's also commented on how clear I sound through her vehicle.

And never having had heads up display, I'm incredibly pleased with how useful it is (especially with the blind spot monitoring showing up on it). Would be great if I could get Google Maps or Waze directions on it as I won't really use the stock navigation.

The heads up display should be a standard safety feature on all cars.
