If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I’ve been driving my new 2020 Kia Telluride SX Prestige for two weeks. I have some thoughts.

I had a Lincoln MKX that had a automatic sunshade. It was nice but the disadvantage was you couldn’t tilt open the roof until the shade fully opened. I like the manual in that you can open the tilt to let some hot air out and then mostly close the shade to keep the sun out.

Good point!

Totally agree with you on the +/- radio buttons! I also wish the radio controls were on the right hand side of the steering wheel! These are used most often and I like 85-90% of the population are right handed, would prefer the most used buttons on the most common dominant hand side! Also wish the 2nd rows were a little less manual, the sunroof was power, and the third row had power folding. But I LOVE this car!
Something to look forward to as a household with 2 lefty's when we get ours. Oddly, none of our 3 kids are left handed.

On my Infiniti, the radio up/down is on the left which is nice and cruise is on the right (hardly use it). On my Cayenne, it has a multi ball scrolling type switch on both left/right that is customizable. Needless to say, hard to use the one on the right as much especially as you have to scroll and then push with the non-dominant thumb while not scrolling 1 click past your selection by accident at the time you push the ball in.

I have owned mostly Kia's for the past 10 years, so I'm used to the way they are situated. Now it feels weird getting in the mustang and the controls are backwards :)

Also been driving my new SXP for a few weeks now. I agree that the rear climate controls should not require any touch screen interaction just to turn on. They could also fix this by allowing it to stay powered on even after turning the car off and back on again.

Benefits definitely outweigh the complaints I have, but here are some complaints anyway:

-Uvo app takes too long to load (not counting the cellular service communication time). Then you have to do it multiple times to keep the car running more than 10 minutes. However, when the app loads at normal speeds, it's bearable. Maybe only 60% of the time in the few weeks I've been using.

-Cannot easily lock the car with the physical key (ie. when family is in the car and you need to grab a coffee). Cover needs to be popped off, made of plastic, so I won't even try to do it regularly. May mod the cover to include a hinge or rubber grommet for easier access.

-LED headlights were aimed too high from the manufacture. I had to use the adjustments to lower the beams about 3-4 inches about 20 feet from a wall. Otherwise it was always pointing at a regular sedan's rear view mirror.

-Blind spot warning even at the lowest volume setting is still a bit too loud and annoying. I regularly signal first and then check my blindspot, so it's always going off. I do not want to turn the feature completely off though. May need to change my driving habits.

-Smart lift gate annoying when it's icy out. I originally figured three warning chimes is plenty of time to get out of the way before it will open, if I'm just walking by the rear of the car. I soon found out after we had a snowy day that left an icy driveway the next morning, 3 seconds is not enough time when I'm trying not to slip.

Just picked up a Telluride SX-P today. I agree with you about the headlights. On the way home, my wife drove it and I drove our sedan in front. The Telluride headlights are very bright and right into my side mirrors. When I drove it around the block at night, I had one car heading toward me flash his lights.

You can adjust them if you wish.

Will a dealer do this or is it very easy?

Easy to do. See the Technical Service Bulletin section for some instructions.

So I was looking at that bulletin. The first few times I read it it seemed like I had to take the bumper off. But the aiming instructions seem to be after reattaching the bumper. I guess I'll have to open up the hood and look when I get back in town. Thanks for point out the bulletin.

Yes, it's just a little knob on the top of the headlight assembly - think you need a torx wrench and you can adjust per aiming instructions in that bulletin. No need to remove bumper - that bulletin was broader - had to do with a headlamp replacement. Bonus info was the aiming instructions.

Does any one feel there should have been 3 heat levels to the steering wheel ?

The SX is different, you need a torx T-60 bit and it;s the top white torx setting on the back of the headlight. The channels for a screwdriver do not work on the SX.

Living in Phoenix I would like to see a cooled steering wheel. At least when it’s cold you can wear gloves!

All you need is a Phillips screwdriver. Bumper removal not necessary. There is a U<->D symbol on the plastic trim right above the headlamp when you open the hood. Just insert the screwdriver into the opening and the screwdriver should catch the little gears to raise or lower the aim of the beam pattern. It's a typical adjustment style present on many car models.

The phillips head works for all but the SX models since they have the factory LED housings, for it you need a T-60 torx bit and the adjuster is on the back of the head ight assembly.

Nice write up. I ordered a week ago through Jason Fox at Muncie and now the waiting game begins.

Is there a way to change the lighting on the gauge cluster? I prefer BMW orange or Audi red. Several do ambient light options but few, if any do a gauge light option.

The upside to a manual shade is it can't fail.
In truth, my '15 Genesis is power and works flawlessly.
I wish I could opt or no moonroof and cut the weight, cost, and overhead glass.
I totally agree with you about moonroof, also a sunroof. I would rather not have either one but that seems almost impossible these days.

FYI, you can turn the volume off for the blind spot monitor and the steering wheel vibrates when someone is there. Plenty of notice for me!
