• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I was stupid to buy a 2020 telluride in the first model year, to many bugs. The steering is mushy and hesitates, Amber idiot light come on then go.

Wow. Just wow. Are people really angry that there are additional systems to assist in managing your expensive asset?

I know this will likely fall on deaf ears, But as someone who works in medical manufacturing, we implement as many sensors and checks as possible so we know exactly how each process is being performed and I love to see the same in my vehicle. Tech forgot to add something to the car? Great, my car will let me know. Don't fear things because they enable you to focus on other things. Each step forward allowing us to not focus on mundane things in life enables us to expand in other areas. We could worry about stoking the fire to keep the house warm all night. Or, let the HVAC system just manage the temperature for us. Same in manufacturing. My technician no longer has to start ate an assembly line to look for a part in place. A machine does that for me allowing that person to perform higher level more interesting tasks.

Telluride is not an asset, its a liability. Your other points are great, read the manual if you dont know whats going on.

Obviously not a financial 'asset'. But it is a critical asset in my life to move myself and my family around and I prefer it to have more monitoring than less. I just don't understand the person buying a brand new car and being 'angry' at the amount of tech in it.

Thing learned along the way... A friend was always getting the "LOW AIR PRESSURE" indicator for tires... He almost had a heart attack trying to figure it out. I found that he had a full sized spare. Guess what... it was the indicator on that spare that caused the alert... So ...air in..alert stopped. Personally I don't really like them... If you can't check your tire pressure on your own once in a while... take the bus. We rely on too many GEE GAWS to let us know things... oil change notice, fuel notifications, lol even indicators that tell you your windshield fluid is low... Try some ZEN and get to know your vehicle a bit better. Do visuals..like tires, even check fluids on your own. Hell, saw a message in the forums of people picking up a BRAND NEW T-Ride only to find fluid level indicators were going off...WHY?? you say??? The DEALER didn't check them when they off loaded for Prep. This is the vehicle that you will depend on to get you to work and the kids to school...aren't they worth just taking a few minutes to do a check?

What does cause me apprehension is the size of the owners manual that comes with the T-Ride... Who will read it? Not sure. One thing I have always done with EVERY vehicle I have owned..be it car, truck or Motorcycle... I bought a mechanics book like what Haynes or Chilton's. You would be surprised what help you can get from them. Whe I sold or traded them ...the manual went with it for the next owner.

I used to enjoy reading the manual of the car I just bought from cover to cover. Now? It's like reading a manual for the space shuttle.

You clearly know nothing about accounting or the definition of "asset." LOL.

The Telluride is an asset. The loan you have is the liability.
