If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I ordered an EX in early February and was told today Kia is not filling any more 2020 orders unless they were already in production when the shutdown started. I can either take an incoming one that is the moss green like I ordered but with black interior and extras that make it $1k more or wait for a 2021. They said the 2021 will likely be more and they will stay at MSRP. Has anyone heard anything about 2020 orders being filled with a 2021 at the ordering price? Seems like for those of us in this situation they should give us a break but maybe they’re in such demand that they won’t do that. Trying to figure out if I should press my dealer or if this is just how it is.

I would take it if I were you, assuming the extra $1k is not any issue of course. No one knows anything about 2021 models for sure.

My 2 cents!

How badly do you need the car? If it isn't critical - I would just wait for a 2021. If you had to trade it in down the road - having it be a newer model year will help your resale value that might make up for any price increase.

When you say “ordered”, did you special order an EX with the exact color combination you wanted, or was it one that was already allocated for your dealership that you put a deposit on? And did they ever give you an order confirmation number or anything?

I special ordered it. They gave me the order sheet to confirm the specs, and then we signed some tans gave our $1000 deposit. He had said 6-8 weeks and they’d tell us when it went to production. I was not given a confirmation number.

Other than wanting more space for the kids we are not in desperate need. I’m not planning to trade later but that’s a good point. I am tempted to wait. As it is, the one allocated to my dealer with different interior and other specs isn’t coming in til 8/8.

The small changes they are making on the 2021 make it much nicer car for me. I can't find those specs right now, but off the top of my head, the remote start and 7 pin trailer connector are both big pluses for me. And I try to avoid first year cars generally. Finally, you are getting a year "newer" car with the 2021 as someone else pointed out. Typically cars are heavily discounted at the end of the year when the next year comes out. This is NOT the case with the Telluride, so waiting a little longer would be just fine for me.

Kind of wish they got more interesting colors as this will be my wife's car, so color is a big deal.

I agree without there being a discount on the 2020 and with the new options, the 2021 seems like the choice I should make if I’m not in a rush and any price change for 2021 seems reasonable.

There won't be discounts on the 2020's. Maybe 2020's won't be selling with huge market adjustments...but don't expect much below MSRP even - after the 2021's go into production. KIA can't build these fast enough.
