• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Very nice. Was thinking doing this. Was it the $390 price?

I actually paid $224.00. I got them around the holidays which at that time they where on sale and i also had a discount code which MGP gave me at the time for signing up to get e-mails and promotions for there product. Lol!
I jumped on it when i saw how much i would be paying, because i knew how much the cost at there original price. Which are a bit high. BUT! i still think they are worth it. When im on the road i see peoples 👀 watching...lmao!

I’m thinking about red with my black rims, but debating going this route or painting. This may be easier since the installation instructions look fairly simple and straightforward.

Ill be honest if you got with paint. Yes you will still see your actual brake pads and it will be more expensive. But with these covers. Not only do they look awesome but they also save your brakes helps them last longer.. These covers actually help the brake pads not get any build up. They help the brakes pads not get too hot. And just helps them out a little bit more. But at the end of the day its really up to you. You will be the one driving it. And yes its a very simple install.👌🏼💯

That looks awesome! I wonder how the yellow would look on a Darm Moss Nightfall Edition.

Hey can you post a good side shot where we can see the full effect of the front and backs calipers?

I've seen across multiple websites and performance car forums that brake caliper covers don't actually keep the brakes cool, i.e., don't cool the rotors or the pads. The caliper itself may be a touch cooler, but it's a negligible amount. This is typically because caliper covers are wildly inefficient as heat sinks. Also, again, from these same sites, the reports are that caliper cover don't keep your wheels any cleaner, either. Supposedly, covers are supposed to redirect brake dust to the rear of the wheel, except that not all caliper covers are shaped properly to act as such. The reports are that there is only a marginal improvement in keeping dust off the wheels (which is moot if you go ceramic anyway).

You can tell I have a bias against caliper covers, so much so that I uninstalled and took apart the Brembos on my 300C to strip them and paint them. Great project for someone with some time and elbow grease. Frankly, I think they looked better painted, too. The real issue I have with caliper covers is that they look like caliper covers, especially the ones with and without the fake bolt holes. We dress up our calipers to draw attention to them and, imo, when you put on covers you drawing attention to something that is pretending to be what it is not.

But, as you noted, we all have out own taste and wants...so to each their own.

Painting is a great weekend project but requires patience and perseverance, as well as time. I painted my 300C SRT8 Brembos. Doing a thorough job of cleaning them properly and sanding them down so the new paint would adhere was time-consuming. Also, you have to be 100% getting the brake fluid out because the brake fluid will eat the newly applied paint (ask how I know, lols). Applying several coats of paint/clear also takes time and baking them to fully cure the paint is also more time.

If you have a full weekend and can get the car up at all 4 wheels, it's really a neat project and you have so much customization you can do.

I guess your choice will also depend on what you're after. Me, I wanted to change my caliper color from silver to red, that's it. If youre just to cover what you think are ugly stock calipers and don't mind the, what i call, fake look, then covers are a good option. Bu if you want to draw attention to them calipers because they improve the asthetic look of the car overall...you can't beat painting them.

I’d be interested to see some pics since yours are red and that’s the color I’d want to go with...if you don’t mind sharing.

sure. I wouldn‘t mind painting them myself, but I am a bit concerned about accidentally painting something I shouldn’t.

195. The current bid (when I looked) was $150, but who knows what they will eventually sell for when the auction is over.

MGP 4 CALIPER COVERS Red for 2020-2021 Kia Telluride 21196SCRKRD | eBay

If any one interested on RED color I saw those on eBay @ Half price

Thanks for the heads up, I have been watching these since you posted them, and no one bid on them, so got them for $150US, after bidding on them last night, and ready to snipe this morning if needed, my max was $160.77 US (roughly $200CDN)

As I am in Canada, I was able to send to a friend in WA State for free, then he can send to me via USPS, to avoid customs fees, etc.

This should turn out to be a good deal for me considering it would cost me at least double even for the plain red if I ordered them elsewhere.

As for the plain red, with no logo/design, I am OK with that.

I would have loved the Kia "K" logo in black on red calipers with no screws all the same.
