• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Installing OEM Mud flaps

I just installed OEM mud flaps. On the front ones, the lower screw does not really bind to anything like the top screw or like the two screws on the rear flaps. I played with jiggling it around and it loosens. I noticed that when I first removed the screws, this same screw came off much easier than the rest.

Did anyone else experience this? I don't believe it's user error since I've tried several times to get the screw to catch something (but it happens on both wheels so makes me think it's just a flaw).

Did you reuse old screws or use the ones they provided? The new ones are a little longer.

I vaguely remember one of the screws not really holding onto anything other than the wheel well trim, so I don't think you're doing it wrong.

Good point. I reused the old screws. Let me try again with the provided screws.

EDIT - that did the trick! Slightly longer screws provided with kit. I didn't think 1/8 additional thickness plastic would matter, but it did. Thanks!
