• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... The ISG "A" on the dash of my 3 week old Telluride with 1100 miles started blinking yellow constantly. Got the car home that evening, then took it in for service the next day. Due to no inventory in my city and an urgent need for a vehicle, I bought the car out of town, and took it to the local dealer for service.

The local service department pulled the code for the Electronic Transmission Pump and (supposedly) submitted the claim to Tech Line on Friday 9/23 and said we'd hear something by EOD Monday. They recommended I don't drive the car and keep it there until it can be serviced. I called the next four days in a row to get an update and they blamed the delay on Kia Tech Line. KIA customer service claims they did not submit the claim until 9/29 and it was approved that day. Not sure who to believe art this point.

Once the repair was ok'd on 9/29, they said it would take 4-5 days to get the part. 9/3 they called and said the part is on back order with no ETA and the car is safe to drive and to come pick it up, and they would let me know when the part comes in. Kia customer service said Tech Line did not authorize the car to be returned to customer. I called the dealer who sold me the car and their Service Manager recommended I don't drive the car until it is fixed.

How integral is this part? We have a long road trip coming up in some rural areas with spotty cell service (which is why I bought a brand new car) and I don't feel comfortable driving a car that is not operating correctly.

Really frustrating dealing with the service department at a dealer I didn't buy the car from. Their Service Rep has been unhelpful, I was never offered a loaner, and their Service Manager won't call me back. Not sure what happened with the week long delay in the claim being filed. Did they push me to the back of the line because I didn't buy the car there?

How do I get Kia to foot the bill for a rental car for my trip?
