• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey guys just wanted to get your take on this, called today to have my drivers side mirror fixed it not folding in and out properly when locked and unlocked figured no problem with great warrant and first problem I’ve had well they said their not sure it’s under warranty they have to diagnosis first for $159 not sure what the diagnostic is all about it’s just a matter of it just doesn’t fold in and out right! Sure hope that great warranty is not like a lot of the crap ones you pay extra for! Thanks for you input guy!

Welcome! Just letting you know that this topic has been moved out of the community lounge and into the main Telluride forum. :)

I also updated the title so that people who can help will click through and read your message. To note, this isn't like other forms of social media where people come in and scroll through hundreds of discussions. Here, people scroll through topic titles and click on those with subject matter they have interest in.

1. Have you read your warranty carefully? That should tell you whether the mirror is covered. Look also for any words about diagnostic charges.
2. $148 diagnostic sounds like bullh#it. Ask if it will be waived if the problem is under warranty.
3. Call another dealer and see if you get the same story on the diagnosis.
4. FWIW I am in the US, so the need for automatic mirror folding is marginal or zero. I have already turned that feature off, intending to limit the risk and expense if the folding feature wears out or dies. Depending on the answers you get on fixing the problem can you just fold the mirror out and leave it there?
