Kia of Columbia in Missouri

They told me 3-4 months start to finish. I am now at exactly four months and as far as I know it hasn't been picked up by KIA. They said they might know more middle of this month.
When did you order? and what trim level? just curious.
 
What did they charge you to ship? I'm thinking of having mine shipped from MO to AL.
The company that the dealer works with is Elite Transport. They quoted $1500 to CA. They later told me that they underquoted, but would honor their quote. Because of the holidays and the covid surge at the time, they had trouble booking a driver right away. I ended up going with Montway. They got me booked with a driver within two days. They quoted around $1900, but eventually dropped to $1750 (open trailer). $150 deposit to Montway, $1600 COD to the driver. This was for a 1,800 mile trip
 
Has anyone done a trade in with Kia of Columbia? My telluride is arriving in a few weeks, and I’m trying to figure out what my easiest option will be. I don’t want to get to the dealership and have them lowball my trade, but it would be easier to do it all in one place.
 
I sent salesman pictures and VIN of car and he sent us trade in offer. Wasn’t terrible but we had someone buy it from us for 3k more than trade in so we just sold it to them. I’m driving up Thursday to pick ours up. Hoping everything goes smoothly

Yeah it was about the same as most. I felt like it was a little less than I wanted but with the help of it knocking off taxes on the new one it was ok
 
Carvana offered me higher than bluebook. They are very easy to work with, and you will likely get more than a trade offer.

I did try carvana and was very disappointed by their offer. It was about 10k less than all the other online options I tried. I have heard they were easy to work with though and was disappointed I couldn’t make it work.

I may have to drive for that much! I was hoping for around $600.

Yeah I tired carvana and it was 2-3k less than blue book. Car max was my highest offer but luckily for me a private buyer is buying ours

I must have caught the market at the right time. In October it was 1k over bluebook. I waited until December and the offer went up another 2k from October.
 
Just an update for anyone still waiting on their telluride from Kia of Columbia. My telluride arrived at the dealership yesterday. I was able to do all of the paperwork online without any trouble or hassle. By far the easiest car buying experience ever. Also, got a great offer on my trade in. I still have to figure out how I’ll get it as i‘m a few hundred miles from the dealership, but hoping to iron that out. oh, and as many others have reported, I did have to buy their mats, and the Kia factory was not able to complete my add ons. Overall, this has been a pretty decent experience, but I think if I were to do it again I would use a different salesman at the dealership. I think Matt is too overloaded, and I think he tends to over promise and under deliver. I knew my car was coming in this week, and I have messaged him multiple times in recent weeks trying to figure out the buying and trade in process, and i never got any response. It felt very frustrating after a 7 month wait (told 2-3 months) to not be communicated with the week leading up to. It wasn’t even him who contacted me when it arrived; I actually haven’t spoken to him in weeks, and he was not involved in any of the paperwork communication.

Congrats on your purchase! I too was very happy with the ease of purchase. I have to agree with your assessment of Matt. You need to chase him down for a response. "Over promise and under deliver" is accurate. My telluride arrived dirty with an empty tank. He promised to reimburse me for a tank of gas and a proper detail. Sent receipts a few weeks ago....still waiting on him to respond....surprise, surprise.

so I rented a car and made the drive to pick up mine last week and got to meet Matt. From talking to him, he seems to do this as almost a side job now. That’s just the feeling I got from talking to him. I think he works there only a few days a week. Process was really easy when I got there to pick it up so overall I had a pretty good experience

Oh, wow that is so frustrating! I would be really irritated about that. it’s really disappointing to wait that long and have it show up that way. I have been really pleased with the manager who has been handling everything. He has been prompt and has really gone above and beyond. I still never heard from Matt at all.

I had ordered fog lights and wheel locks, and they weren’t able to do either. I was told they could add them, but that the fog lights especially are complicated to add. I really wasn’t that worried about them.

How did the manager help you? Has anyone been able to get their $1000 deposit back from Matt? I'm almost to that point with the lack of communication. I need 7 seats ASAP. May buy a car for my almost 15-year olds and just drive that until I can get a car for myself.
