• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Enjoy,

Michel,
Your spreadsheet is awesome! Thanks for all the hard work! Nothing like good, accurate data. :-)

One of the new ones in the file looks like it could be mine. Exact match, minus the cargo mat accessory. Could be that accessory they will add at time of sale or is not a factory add-on option?

Thank you for updating the sheet.Mine is still not on there after 105 days.I give up.Its better to not even think about it anymore. The wait just keeps getting harder and harder.
Your sheet is a very useful tool for checking if there is a VIN for the vehicle that matches ones order and to see if there is a chance that the dealer already got one but sold it to
someone else like there has been reports from others on this forum. It worked in my case because I don't see ANY SX Prestige with Snow White and Dune that was ever sold or shipped to my dealer AT ALL,so it seems easier to check that in my case
Sorry to hear. I feel like something is wrong (never ordered).

Might be time to try and lock in an allocated car or place a new order.

I filtered your sheet and started working through each dealer one-by-one with the model/color/options I was looking for. I started calling dealers the first week of Nov so I used VIN numbers that went as far back as Oct 1. I found that some cars were arriving quickly within 10 days from VIN creation and some had already arrived and been sold by the time I called, others were around the 30 day mark and still hadn't arrived. My VIN was created on Oct 29 and arrived at the dealer Nov 13th, hopefully that helps some of you who are/were in the same boat as myself.

Countless dealers would not budge off a $5-10k markup, one dealer in DC had 2 SXP AWD - black copper, dune interior on their lot. I offered to put down a deposit and get on a plane tomorrow, they would not come off their $5k markup. Many others said they wouldn't complete the transaction without a "market adjustment" or the dealer installed options (nitrogen fill tires, pin stripe package, blah blah blah for $4,000😂)

Another dealer out in the middle of nowhere had two arriving within 48hrs but they wouldn't budge off the markup and "dealer installed options" hard pass on $56k + tax/title....gtfo.

Finally found one dealer, in KY, that would sell me the car at sticker price with no funny business or dealer installed junk, fought like hell to get them under MSRP to no avail. I put down a deposit and booked a flight to pick it up this weekend. The guys I dealt with were surprisingly very nice but they mentioned in conversation they normally sell EVERY car with a $4,000 dealer package, say what? (WTF, why is this how 80% of Kia dealers do business I've spoken with?) because I was able to track down the vehicle prior to arrival and before they had the chance to "install" their package they would sell it to me "as is" off the delivery truck. All things considered I'm cool with it.

I called 20-30 dealers up and down the east coast randomly looking for what I wanted and another 10-20 in the midwest. After stumbling upon your thread and database I called about 20-25 after filtering to my preferences. A solid two weeks of phone calls finally paid off! I really wanted to do a deal with @Jason Fox and the guys in Muncie but I needed the car before end of the year.

I should also note I spoke with multiple dealers who were happy to do a deal at MSRP or a few dollars under with no funny business but they had already sold the particular vehicle I wanted or didn't have one coming in by end of the year. There's some good guys out there just keep pushing if you're in the same situation as me. Again, I can't thank you enough for your help @Michelw 🍻🍻

It just seems to me that many Kia dealers are now doing the dealer add one costing about $2k for any vehicle (other than Telluride). It starting to turn me off to the KIA nameplate. A local dealer had the supplemental sticker with the $2K markup on EVERY KIA ON THE LOT!

I found the same addendum added and non-negotiable at every dealer in Florida I called which is why I went looking out of state but again same result with 8/10 dealers I contacted. I'm with you, it is a huge turn off from the Kia brand as a whole but I'm always trying to look at the bigger picture here and support those factory jobs in Westpoint, GA. I'm cool with encountering a few asshole salesman to find a good apple.

The dealer told me a few weeks ago that he was told that my telluride would arrive around the first week of January.
If I do not see the VIN that matches my Telluride by first week or mid December, then I will have to do something else as I am in dire need of a new
and bigger family vehicle.I didnt want to purchase a vehicle and not be happy like I would with the Telluride. That's why I'm waiting

Have written a small computer application that generates valid Telluride VINs and then calls the Kia "windowsticker" URL to retrieve a windows sticker PDF file. From this PDF file I am able to retrieve all of the trim/color information for the Telluride including dealer address, exterior color, interior color, prestige package and towing package.

All of this data is then written to a small SQLite database in which I can query all of the information that I need.

As of 2019/06/17, here is the complete rundown of the trim/color combinations for the Telluride:

The most produced color: Ebony Black (4724)
The most produced trim: S FWD (5354)
FWD vs AWD: 49.5% vs 50.5%

Can you provide a breakdown of NC dealers with SX AWD Prestige with towing in Black Copper with Nappa Dune Leather? We don't seem to be getting many SX P AWD here. Thank you!

It's read only. Wont let me filter anything. I've been scrolling for 20 minutes.

It is read only, but you can filter. You need to click on "Data -> Filter views -> Create a temporary filter view..."

For more info, try googling "how do i filter in google sheets"

click the filter button (upside down triangle with line) then on the column you want to filter click on the "three line triangle" see green button in second photo. You can then check and uncheck fields that match your preference. You can do that for each column to narrow your search.

Yup!!!

Hey @Michelw, on the spreadsheet, item #s 600-669 and 1274-1336 don't have any information on them. Didn't look any further than that. You know what's up with that?
