• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi Telly owners,

Waiting for our SX to arrive and have a quick question based on the last SX we drove. Assuming captains chairs, the third row seems to have 2 latches on the backside to keep car seats from tilting forward. My question is about the latches at the base of the seats. The arrangement of latches on the backside would suggest you should also find 3 latch hooks at the base of seats.....but could only find 2. Any comments/thoughts?

I have an S with captains chairs and noticed the same thing. The 3rd row has two lower latch anchors for one seat but the back of the bench has two tether anchors. It is outlined in the manual on 3-47. https://owners.kia.com/content/dam/...0/telluride/2020 Telluride Owner's Manual.pdf

I think the idea is that the two captains chairs could be used but in the third row you can use latches for the far left seat position. But if you choose to use the middle you can use the seat beat to provide the lower anchor and the rear tether anchors. If you have a need for 4 attached car seats you wouldn’t have too many anchors options for the fourth in the rightmost 3rd row bench seat and no tether anchor.

IIHS just released their test results and scores and has a section on the child safety seats and latches: 2020 Kia Telluride 4-door SUV. It appears they used the LX seats for the test. I’m wondering if captains chairs might make a difference. Or if the SOFINO vs Napa leather make a difference.
