• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Sometime in the past 2-3 months I received an update for my Kia (I don't know exactly when I was overseas). I installed it, and regret it immensely.

Before the update, as soon as I turned my car on I had a split screen display of (Map|Radio|Weather). Now when I turn it on, I have a "stylish" screen with the time in the bottom left, and as you move to the right a barely visible map is visible (barely visible because it's purple and hard to see). I tried to go back to the old way, went to settings, found display/split screen... and my split screen has the order of (Map|Radio|Weather)... but this never appears to work. I tried enabling all split screen options... never works. Has anybody had this problem and figured out the fix?

I also noted a weird quirk- it used to be when you turned the car "off", the radio/acc stayed on for 2-3 minutes or until you opened the door. Now, as soon as I hit off- literally everything changes. Is there a way to reset it back to the "stays on for 2- 3 minutes" option? When I've backed into the garage, it would be nice to finish a phone conversation while sitting there without the car on (I don't want to pump exhaust into the garage while I finish a call).

I've turned here in case you all have had the same issues and found fixes. If not, I'll run to the dealership and ask them and likely see the same confusion... think that might lead to an equal exchange of my 2021 for a new model where the system works? :)

The old three-tile home screen is long gone. It went away with the November 2020 navigation system update. Now you get either the new modern home screen, or you can continue to use the rest of the system just like you always would have (apps in full screen or as a primary app taking up 2/3 of the screen with a secondary widget taking up the remaining 1/3).

As always, it’s a setting. You’ll find it in setup > general > media options > continue to play media when vehicle is turned off.

Well thank you. I figured I had been getting all the updates from the dealership when I took it each time for service, I guess that was a silly assumption.

I will for MD that last setting and definitely turn it back on.
