Latest information on Ordering System(Kdealer/KFOS) starting Sept 2020

Asked my dealer today to change from the MLB to GG color and he said I'll have to remind them on Tuesday since they're locked down from changes while KIa does allocations. I was hoping to be early allocation since order was from back in March, but now I want it to be at least a week away :)
This I can confirm is accurate.. this is what the others here should be hearing

Does this also mean orders can't be placed while the window is open, or they just can't be modified? Went to a dealer yesterday evening to place an order and they didn't say anything stopped them from doing so.

Edit: from reading some other posts in the thread, it sounds like it's possible to input new orders to KFOS while the window is open - I assume only if they have the available allocation(s) for the trim/driveline, otherwise it would queue in Kdealer.

we can not edit or put new orders in while KFOS is open. Now like you wrote in the 2nd paragraph, If we have an open spot in the allocation for KFOS for a particular trim/drive than we can edit that to a clients custom order.

Otherwise we have to save/edit order and submit/update when KFOS closes.

on the bottom of the dealer request entry it says “Telluride Earning” is that the allocation for the dealer in the current window?

Don't read into that.. It shows many things.. but will hurt more than help trying to go in detail.

Thanks @StephenCantrelle!! My dealership messed up my 23 order as they didn’t call to discuss when converting my 22. I’m trying to cut them slack but I don’t want to wait another 6-9 months because they placed the wrong order.

You can always pm me the screenshot of dealer request and I am happy to confirm it is correct for you

Thank you! This one is easy as it’s spelled out. I might take you up on that if they submit an updated one.

@StephenCantrelle - do you know when the KFOS window opens for November 2022? I'd imagine it's either this Thursday 11/3 or next Thursday 11/10. Thanks!

I am in the exact same predicament. Is there no way to modify an existing order in the queue that hasn't been picked up by KIA yet? My dealer is telling me that any modifications would result in me losing my spot in line and essentially starting over as a new order. I was hoping to modify based on the new colors/re-design.

Any updates on dates for next KFOS window?

When is it "too late" to change the color of your order? I placed an order for a '22 which was converted to a '23, and has not yet been picked up by KFOS. I would like to change to one of the new '23 color options, but my dealer says that would push me to the back of the line. Is it really not possible to modify the color while still in the queue?

Apparently, it is different depending on what region. (From what others have mentioned)

For my store I can edit order until it is accepted and assigned to me in KFOS/Kdealer allocation.
When I edit order you stay in the same place in line.

The dealers had to re-enter the order when it crossed over to a 23MY. So, they should have allowed you to edit order at that time.

Is my understanding correct?

You walk into dealer and place an order. That order is essentially held at the dealer until KFOS is opened up (once per month). Then when KFOS is opened up the orders that are being held are submitted to KIA to be built?

Read the first few posts of this thread on Page 1 (actually most of that first page). That will give you a nice overview of the process.

With the KFOS window open now. Do dealers find out if orders are picked up while the window is open or they find out Tues/Wed of next week?

We can see while the window is open how many we earned and who is transferring from Kdealer to KFOS.

Tuesday and Wednesday of next week we will be able to see the initial ETA's for those that filled

@StephenCantrelle I’m thinking the answer to this is no but doesn’t hurt to ask. Are you able to see other dealers trim allotments for this KFOS window?

I was told by my sales manager that my order is in the system and marked as sold, and it is the oldest order in the system, but he didn’t mention anything about it being picked up by KFOS.

He was telling me we need to wait for a vehicle that matches my color and trim options. The seems different than KFOS though, right?

I unfortunately cannot see other dealers' allotments.

He may be referring to Kdealer weekly allocations if it missed this month KFOS cycle.
