If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Latest information on Ordering System(Kdealer/KFOS) starting Sept 2020

Stephen
I unfortunately cannot see other dealers' allotments.

He may be referring to Kdealer weekly allocations if it missed this month KFOS cycle.
Stephen - do you know if there are any issues with the X-Line production? I see very few based on failcat and am concerned since my order is an X-Line. thanks

Funny how patience is the key to getting a car in 2022/23.
I was in the same boat, just got notified that my xline has been picked up with a March delivery. No VIN has been generated yet, hopefully will get to know in a week or so.

Wow. March delivery? That’s seems like a long wait after being picked up.

I was thinking the same thing... I assumed once picked up it would be a month or two? Wonder what the normal/average is.

I've been seeing an average of 45 days. It's been strange that they haven't been building a lot of x-lines, so maybe they won't ramp up x-lines until early next year, hence the March ETA???

Does anybody know why in Failcat the VINs disappear after a while? I am following my dealer's listings closely to keep track of my position in line and I see VINs disappearing after a month or so. Does that mean those vehicles were delivered?

I know that Kia likes to build in blocks so I would imagine they are getting alot of the X-Pro's done now and will start to ramp up on the X-Line side. I see quite a few EX X-line's being built and X-Pro loaded models. So time will tell how it plays out but I think according to the build mix percentage we got that there will be more X-lines built that X-Pros

Failcat should never delete a VIN once it has been entered. My dealer shows Telly's back to 2020. Did you not scroll to the next page?

You're right! I was looking in the "Recent Cars" section. When you go to "All Cars", they're all there.

It would be great to know what configuration and color would increase odds of getting a vehicle faster. I got hosed with a 2022 order not getting transferred to 2023 model so have been waiting 11 months. SX-P and above would be fine for us, although preferred would be SX-P Xline.

Is the tow hitch still a problem?

Thoughts or suggestions?

Is the KFOS window for December been set yet? Possibly starting Thursday 12/8?

Opened today will close Monday... Initial ETA's on Tuesday/Wednesday

Thanks, Stephen, for suggesting this part of the forum for more info. I neglected to ask - what's the difference between a kdealer and a KFOS?

I forgot to mention; I know of the failcat website where I can track the building of my car once a VIN number has been assigned. I've reviewed the site again this pm, but don't know the Granbury Van Griffith dealer number for failcat. Can you provide that info?

It's TX073. FYI, I've noticed that failcat skips numbers sometimes and there was a load of broken line items a little bit ago so it's not completely reliable.
