• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... List the thing(s) that annoy you about your Telluride

Finding the strengths of the Telluride is easy for potential buyers. But weaknesses usually become apparent only after owning a vehicle for a while.

So, what things bug you most about your Telluride?
I hate not being able to see the XM display while using Apple Play for navigation.

I also hate the dumb way Kia did the chrome window trim on the sides. They should’ve either done all black or all chrome, but they chose to make it worse but making a chrome volcano on the trim where the front door meets the back door. I don’t understand the reason for doing that. It doesn’t look sleek and it disturbs the OCD in me.

If you enable split screen Apple Carplay in the head unit settings, you should be able to see UVO radio/XM info in the small screen on the right. Need to enable in the Carplay setting on the head unit while the phone is unplugged from the data USB port.

I’ll try that again. I thought I did that, but one just about needs to be a NASA scientist to completely understand how to use it.

Maybe someone already mentioned this, but I didn't notice until 4-5 months into our ownership...why, for the love of all that is holy, are the only two buttons that are NOT illuminated at night the buttons for the interior lights??

Imagine you're in a dark parking lot, you started the car, but you need to light up the cabin for the kids in back who are trying to find their belt buckles. You look at the overhead console -- and you see sunroof switch, the buttons for Uvo/roadside assistance, but no button for the lights. They're not lit up. Every freaking button in this interior has backlighting, it seems, except for the button to turn on the interior lights, which is what you most need to find when you can't see anything.

A very strange oversight in an otherwise really well designed interior.

You are right. Dropping the seats down helps... To me it feels like the leather from the back rest rubbing over the bottom seat at the edge....
Did they tell you what the noise was from the driver door? I am having the same noise and it drives me crazy and the dealer can’t find the problem.

Bought my SXP Aug 2019. Love the car. I don't drive it much for now but that may change in the future. Family and friends also love the T-Ride. My issue is..... Last Aug I took it in for scheduled servicing and asked the service person..."Why doesn't my Stop/Start system not work anymore"?. He told me I had the AC on HIGH...well...it was hot out... So I went back for service again and a woman at the desk was the target of the same question. No AC was used...hmmmm. A service that was suppose to last maybe 20 min. reached over an hour. Well she told me they checked out the reasons. She said the system was in working order ...BUT...she gave me the "List"..

1) yes...AC on high would pull power and the system may not work...

2) Won't work if the Defrosters are on.....

3) they checked my battery...found it at 55% and that was acceptable to operate the T-Ride....BUT the battery has to be at about 65-70% to allow the Stop/Start. I found none of these reasons in the Guttenberg sized manual I had. So.....solution..have to drive the T-Ride for an hour or so often....and in the other hand...get a trickle charger and put it on the battery. I asked why the customers have to do R&D for KIA??? So... until I utilize those big 3s...I won't have the Stop/Start. It is a small thing but it was a small irritation.

I enjoy using the T-Ride and will continue. I was told I could sell it for MORE than I bought it NEW...Crazy Economy. No thanks. It is good on fuel and rides in luxury.

I agree, ISG needs to work in more situations. Otherwise, they shouldn’t have bothered to sell it as a feature. Even when I use a trickle charger to charge the battery to full, the feature is lost within 2-3 days. Unless I drive for several hours a day on the highway to keep the battery fully charged.

I don't like that the doors can't auto lock after I leave the vehicle. Would be convenient for hands free situations

Have you tried linking your UVO with google assistant? I am starting to play around with it a bit. I've gotten it to start my car which is cool

Speaking of the camera, I wish the rear was one you could view without going into reverse. When you hit the camera button you can see all the other views except that one.
That bites. I thought you could hit the camera button to see the tail gaters :(

The option of power steering column vs manual would be nice. My Durango has it and when you shut the vehicle off my column goes up, seats back up for easier access out and in and it's setup in the memory seating button.

In most states it is actually illegal to leave the car running while unattended, even with the doors locked.
? never heard of that. We have no law like that in Wisconsin.

Having to accelerate so gently from a dead start, The Pirellis have a terrible grip on dry pavement.

  • no auto lock (yep, I have ordered the kit to fix that one)
  • the warnings on the front seem to work when they want to (usually not in my garage where I need them)
  • I have a FREAKING rattle I can't find.... somewhere in the back!

These are the issues for me as of now...
1. Panel gaps for pull up window shades makes them go inside. I have to fish them out sometimes. Design issue not sure ?
2. Annoying low rattle from rear seat. Not sure what it is ...
3. I have noticed that sometimes the parking sensor alarm does not activate when pulling up in my garage and sometimes it works.. Not sure if anyone noticed this.
4. The collision warning system activates when i still have time to break.... Once it initiated a screeching brake when the car in front was taking a right turn and i did not break knowing i will pass thru straight in time as the car in front of me will turn. But the system took over and applied emergency breaks.
5. Lane keep is a hit or a miss. I can see both the lane lines but the system cannot :) Not sure what is the criteria... BTW my the windshield was clean for the top camera to see.
6. while in HDA or Smart cruise the steering will not turn more than 10 or 15 degrees. If the road turns more than than the system gives up and i have to take over abruptly... There could be more threshold...
7. Too thin cushion on the arm rests and center console. You can feel this in the long rides

SAME!!!

Are you sure you actually have your parking sensors on?

Next time you turn on your car, make sure this button is lit up. Otherwise, they’re off and will only come on when you shift info reverse.

Rattle from second row captain chair or rear meaning 3rd row? I have an annoying rattle coming from the 2nd row passenger side captain chair when it's vacant. When someone is sitting there, rattle goes away

You may want to look into it. We had a incident here in TN where a guy left his car running while he went into the gas station. A criminal hopped in and took off, ran from the police, and struck and killed a pedestrian. The owner of the car was charged criminally with vehicular homicide I believe. The premise being had he not left his car running and unlocked, thus providing easy access to the criminal, the chase would have never occurred and the pedestrian never killed.
