• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... List the thing(s) that annoy you about your Telluride

After 1/2 year with the Tellmeride, BY FAR the most annoying is the auto start. It should be OFF at all times. If you want it, you turn it on, not the other way around. 🖕

It would be nice if it worked that way, but the government mandated way it works is just the opposite. :(

Its annoying how long I have to wait to get one, ordered 08/26 and ETA is 12/28.

Dear KIA GODS,why is this fellow KIA enthusiast calling the Telluride "Tellmeride" ?? LOL

I can understand the frustration... I ordered my SXP/AWD/Tow (Black on Black) in April and almost 4 months...AUG... to the DAY I got mine . I am a happy camper so far. The wait was worth it for me.

The only thing I can really think of is the inability to lock all doors from the tailgate. Only one button of course, but a simple program could be implemented that would lock all doors with a double-push, just like many Lexus models.

Not an optimal solution. But, try locking the vehicle when you exit. From there, using the button on the tailgate, open the rear hatch. When done, all doors will lock with a single touch of the tailgate button when closing the hatch. Give it a try, enjoy the ride.

Some things you've heard before (EX):

No Homelink
No key fob remote start
No seat memory
Underwhelming headlights
Radio mutes when in reverse (why?, is this a setting?)
Can't believe that on the EX there is no home link. That should be standard on all trims. I haven't had a vehicle in years and years that has not had home link. Ridiculous!

I don't like that the SX model does not get Sirius Travel Link but the S model does. I have an SX. Only one year of UVO when the Palisade gets three years of Blue Link.

I might be missing something, but at some point does using the app to remote start it start to cost money / Uvo subscription? If so what are the costs? I dont see any information about Uvo really. I dont care about the crash auto call the police stuff, I literally jsut want to use it for the remote start via the Kia app. Is taht going to start being a monthly cost?

Appears that you'll need to get at least the Plus plan for $22.50 per month to remote start. I'm hoping to pay monthly and just subscribe for the winter months, once my free year is over.

That's greedy as hell.Sounds a lot like Apple.
To charge for something that you could and should be able to use free of chargegiphy (2).gif.That along with the predicted 5 plus month waiting time,is already a bitter experience

Paying $22.50 a month is ridiculous especially for as much as we paid for this vehicle. Kia really lost points for me by doing this. The remote start should be a standard option for vehicles in this price range. If you want all the fancy diagnostics then you can pay extra, not for remote start though. Come on Kia, make the app for basic remote start free, and people can pay for the upgrades if they wish.

I think subscription based features is something many automakers are moving towards or at least "experimenting with" Lexus has been doing the subscription based remote start for quite a while, BMW does subscription based apple car play (the gaul on them though). I hope it is just a phase...

I wonder about installing (getting installed) an after market remote start that doesnt void the warranty then. I believe I saw someone posting about a $500 USD roughly to get something like that, quickly pays for itself vs 22.50 a month...

I’ve been looking into a remote start on the key fob also. Ordered my telluride oct 12th, obviously still waiting, and the wife wants the remote start on the FOB. I found this (EVO-ONE | All-In-One Remote Starter, Security System and Data Interface | Fortin) and confirmed with them that it works on a telluride, however there is no Harness made for the telluride so it has to be spliced into existing Wires. Haven’t Spoken with Kia about voiding the warranty or not. Let me know if anyone finds another solution to the key fob remote start.

I'm kind of split on the remote start via app. I started off really wanting the keyfob start just because it wouldn't need a subscription but the app route really does add a couple really nice features.

1. the app notifies you that it was a successful start.
2. you can set and vary the temp and steering wheel heater
3. you can set a schedule e.g certain days and times
4. don't have to be near the car. My wife commutes by train so she can preheat the car and defrost in the winter when she's a couple stations away.

With the added benefits though, I'm not too mad about paying for 3 or 4 months in the winter. Would be nice if it were cheaper though, especially if I want to use google assistant/alexa.

The only thing that I really "hate" is how it beeps at you when the car is left on and you step out of the car for a few moments.

Every time I check my mail from our community mailbox, it makes this looong beep noise that attract unwarranted attention. I wish we could turn this annoying feature off.
