• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Little nits just for fun.

Yeah, I forgot about not having wireless care play. It sucks to have to plug my phone in to get ACP. You can buy a little dongle to turn the center USB port into wireless. But for $50k+ you shouldn’t have to do that!
Please tell me more about the dongle. I’m tired of plugging my phone in, too. Thanks!

This is one example. Search Amazon for "Apple CarPlay wireless adaptor for other options.

Most of the posts I have seen mention CPLAY2air wireless adapter for factory CarPlay on CARPLAY2air.com. From what I’ve researched, CPlay2Air is a white labeled Carlinkit 1.0 Carlinkit Wireless CarPlay Store. I have the Carlinkit 2.0 on order myself, but I don’t have it yet to provide feedback. I think both of these are available from sellers on Amazon as well.

It does for AWD SXP, which it looks like you should have based on your sig.

Auto heated and ventilated front seats on telluride SX

It does exist on the instrument cluster as well as a widget option for the head unit.
The mew basic media scrren is ugly. So I often use the radion with 1/3 of the screen being the compass. Nice compass offsets the ugly 1950's radio...

Nitpicks?

Let me see: I wish the homelink mirror buttons were backlit and had a motion sensor so that when my hand goes to the mirror they illuminate but otherwise stay dark and non-distracting. I'd rather the green light on the mirror would turn off so there's zero light on the corner of my eye when driving.

The rear wiper should be top mounted so it can be tucked away and give a cleaner look to the rear end/liftgate.

Besides those two minor things, there's nothing else for me to nitpick. I love my Telly and overall, it's the best car I've ever owned.

Lack of adjustments for the passenger seat in SXP trim. My Audi had heated, cooling, massage, with every conceivable adjustments for both front seats. No hers doesn't even have a lumbar adjustment.

I notice that a few folks here like to round up to that number ($50K) a lot. Apart from the other folks that paid above MSRP...this line is kind of getting old. No one here (maybe I'm wrong), was forced at gunpoint to purchase this vehicle. At some point all you all (including myself) made a conscious decision to pull the trigger and buy the KT vs the other choices on your list.

I get that this is "nit picking just for fun"... but I'm guessing we'll have these threads again about what a $50K car should have.
Just my .02

Well my SX AWD cost about $50K CAD before my trade in. I think that's about $40K USD. So yah, definitely not a $50K USD car in my garage. Personally, I'm blown away by all of the features and the quality of the driving experience for the price.

My Sticker MSRP, as optioned, was $47765 US. The 4% NM sales tax was 1910, which put it at 49675. I did get a $400 discount for being a veteran, but the check I wrote was still north of $49k - close enough to 50 for me. I got the Nightfall Package, AWD with Tow package and a few minor other options. Had I gotten the Prestige Package it would easily have been over 50k US.

Nevertheless, none of what I've listed as nits should be taken as major criticisms - to be clear, I love this car and feel it is the best car I've ever bought with the possible exception of my Corvette. Hence the title of my tread "little" nits (just for fun). Not a major complaint at all, but with today's relatively inexpensive technology I think even a $25k car should have wireless CarPlay. That's just my humble opinion.

Forgive me - no attempt to deceive - with taxes and a couple minor Doc fees, I paid a bit over 49k for my car as optioned (and that was with a $400 military veteran discount). My point was that for a car in this price "range" (and some are easily over 50k with the right options) it would have been nice to have wireless CarPlay. I really hate plugging in my iPhone, then trying to figure out where to put it. Is this a huge deal? Nope - but then this thread is just meant for folks to muse about the little things they would like to see or have on their cars. Who knows, if KIA ever looks at these forums, maybe some of our little nits will get picked up in future production years.

My nits.

When they delivered the car it already had 24 miles on it. Normally a car will have 3-7 miles on it. Who took it for a joy ride?

The drive by wire throttle is inconsistent, noticeably different than a mechanical throttle. When I slowly press the throttle, sometimes it seems like forever for it to start accelerating, other times it takes off like a raging bull. When I drive my other cars with the throttle connected via cable, no such problem.

Still not a fan of the eight speed transmission because of the inconsistent shifting. However, it seems better (or maybe I'm getting used to it) since I've been driving it in Smart mode since I bought it.

My car had 16 miles on it when I picked it up in Texas. I know they do some test-track driving before they ship it, but I honestly have no idea how many miles they put on it at the test track. (Maybe someone here knows?).

There isn't a lot not to like about the Telluride - it's hands down the best all around car I've owned, but there are a few minor nits (very minor) I have with it so far after 2 months of ownership:
1. I wish the speaker grills on the doors were metal mesh instead of plastic (they don't look bad, but I mean...plastic grills on a Harmon Karden system).
2. The little cubby door where the phone charger is located doesn't have a good tactile feel - it's mushy. I'd like to have it with a more deliberate click upon closing / opening.
3. The navigation system directions don't tell you which side of the road your destination is on. It just says "your destination is ahead." I have an older Garmin NUVI dash-top GPS that tells you "your destination is ahead on the right, etc."
4. The image quality of the rear camera, with the very weak reverse lights, is marginal at best. (I plan to install the stronger LED lights mentioned in this forum).
5. The glove box could be bigger. If you keep the manual in the glove box there isn't room for much else.

Like I said - these are minor nits, not significant complaints. Do you have any minor nits?
...................SELL IT ! jk

3-7 is normal? Mine had 12 on the odometer. Seemed pretty normal. I've seen the videos of the testing track, wash tests, some are repeated. Seems like they do run the cars a good bit before approval for transport, then the dealers move them around the lot, perhaps to parts/service or to where they rinse them off. I'm hoping that my car arrived at the dealership with 10 or 11 miles and the 12 is just from shifting it around.

24 seems a bit high. Did you see it come off the truck? Did the dealer allow anyone to test drive it?

Might be interesting to start a thread with a poll to see how many miles people "new" cars had at delivery (excluding user or cars that have been test driving while on the lot).

No poll yet, but maybe we can tally up some of the responses from this thread?

Mine had 18 miles when I signed the purchasing paperwork on a Saturday. Then it had 56 miles when I picked it up the following Tuesday after the tags were made. The sleaze-bag dealer totally used my SXP as a tester between that time no doubt. When I wasn’t given the choice to pick up sooner, I was assured “nobody will be driving or sitting in your purchased car, we would never do that”. When I picked it up and asked why they had driven it almost 40 additional miles their excuse was they needed to road test it as part of the delivery process. For 38 miles?!
