• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Little nits just for fun.

There isn't a lot not to like about the Telluride - it's hands down the best all around car I've owned, but there are a few minor nits (very minor) I have with it so far after 2 months of ownership:
1. I wish the speaker grills on the doors were metal mesh instead of plastic (they don't look bad, but I mean...plastic grills on a Harmon Karden system).
2. The little cubby door where the phone charger is located doesn't have a good tactile feel - it's mushy. I'd like to have it with a more deliberate click upon closing / opening.
3. The navigation system directions don't tell you which side of the road your destination is on. It just says "your destination is ahead." I have an older Garmin NUVI dash-top GPS that tells you "your destination is ahead on the right, etc."
4. The image quality of the rear camera, with the very weak reverse lights, is marginal at best. (I plan to install the stronger LED lights mentioned in this forum).
5. The glove box could be bigger. If you keep the manual in the glove box there isn't room for much else.

Like I said - these are minor nits, not significant complaints. Do you have any minor nits?
Did you ever post on the night LED's? The rear came at night is pitiful at best. During the daytime its fine but at night its nearly useless.

WHAT THE EFF were they thinking with those dang controls?!?! How you gonna make volume up and down and yet reverse the tracks?? Its like a crazy person did that... and the crazy part is that its a simple software fix.. how have they not done that yet!
I wonder how hard it would be to reverse the wiring on those controls?

I think I did post about that somewhere. I did replace the reverse lights with LEDs and it is 1000 x better! My driveway is kinda long and has a little 30° bend at the end. With the regular lights it was impossible to see where the driveway started bending, but with these LEDs it lights things up sufficiently so that you can actually see where you're going in the rear camera at night. A mod I would highly recommend!

6) When you use the Kia Access to remote start, the custom climate temperature settings should include the seat heaters/coolers. This was automatic with my old Acadia based on the outside temperature. Guess the designers never sat on a car seat when it's -10F outside (-20C for my fellow Canadian's).
7) Allow numbers to be added to the NAV address book. Also agree with #3 above.
8) Adjust steering wheel controls for the radio stations / CarPlay to correct up as "next" and down as "previous" - not the other way around.
9) Add a battery monitor icon with volts and/or percentage - this vehicle sure does suck back power when it's turned off for a few days.
10) Improve front wipers. Yesterday was a cold day and I applied windshield fluid and the passenger blades barely removed any of the liquid - had to stop and clear the blade before you could see out the windshield.
#6 is a hot one for me, literally. When it gets to 95F in the shade in Florida, it would be nice to have the seats cooled.

For what it’s worth, someone mentioned the settings changes you can make in the infotainment system shortly after that post. The owner’s manual is a mile long it seems like on all of the stuff you can change / customize. Being a dealer and trying to figure out what a customer changed to revert / fix it must be a nightmare.

Not available for the EX unfortunately. Only SX AWD trims.

It’s a function in the head unit menus, which the owners manual does not cover. The FFG and Navigation manuals do mention it though. Although less convenient, should be able to get either of them from your Kia owners portal. I wouldn’t trust the dealer to know more about the ins and out of the car features more than the owners on this forum.

Ah, alright. I was trying to page through the manual while I waited for mine. Since it was so darn long, I figured that stuff was included in there as well.

I did see that post. but unfortunately, I believe that's only for the SX. I have the EX. I know I didn't pay as much for my EX, but I feel that should be an option with any model that can use the Access app to remotely set the temperature.

My suspicion is that the placement of your foot is more to blame. If you're a low petal pusher like me, you will be pushing at the hinged part of the pedal. Once I trained my foot to press higher on the accelerator, the inconsistencies in acceleration went away for me.

I am not a fan of the bottom hinge accelerator. I am used to it but, in my winter climate, there is no way to protect the carpet around the accelerator from wet feet.

If I'm adding to the nits, I'd have to say my biggest pet peeve is that the track buttons on the steering wheel are reversed. It's not natural, after 3 months and 6k miles, I still have to think about what I'm doing when I switch tracks.
I do not like the bottom hinge accelerator… crazy design flaw. We live in Northern Ontario and my large boots track in lots of snow, salt, sand and moisture. Hangin* the pedal allows for a mat that catches all that and permits easy removal and replacement of a proper mat. KIA. Please fix this before I buy my new 2025 T’Ride!

Not a design flaw. Many vehicles are designed this way.

I strongly prefer a bottom hinged design.

I strongly prefer the top hanger for the reasons @T’Ride mentioned. That said, I don’t hate the current design.

I think the danger of having a “hanging” style pedal is also when people stack multiple floor mats (or unsecured floor mats) and risk having the pedal get stuck while accelerating. So from a liability standpoint, safer to use the hinged design.
