• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... There's not too many options AAWireless is one of the more popular ones that has launched via Kickstarter. I think they are on the second go around but may take some time to get one in. I think there is another group doing one as well, but hasn't had any release yet as far as I know. Only other option would be to buy an aftermarket head unit but that's going to be pretty pricey.

AAWireless and Carsifi are both on Indiegogo. as far as I know both have long waiting lists. You may be able to find a AAWireless on eBay, but expect to pay a significant premium if you do.

I have a AAWireless and it works well with my Samsung phone. That said, I mostly use it for listening to music, which I imagine is not a terribly demanding use case.

Just found out about this one from Motorola, unfortunately the "Register Today" button only goes to a generic support form, so I'm not sure if that was the intended link destination or not.

Do you know who makes it?

I assume it's not the AAWireless device, since the form factor looks a bit different.
From the article:

”It’s worth noting that the company behind this product isn’t actually the Motorola that made any permutations of the Razr flip phone or your old dial-up modem. Instead, the MA1 is from SGW Global, also known as Meizhou Guo Wei Electronics Co., Ltd, which describes itself as a “Motorola Strategic Brand Partner.” Basically, it’s a company that licenses the Motorola name.”

I was going to purchase one but I agree wait and see how it functions first 😉

I'm also still waiting for my Telly order, so no point getting this device just yet! :D

I'll be looking for the reviews as well. I have a unit for wireless Carplay (wife is deep into the Apple ecosystem) that works flawlessly. I'm hoping this will work as well for my Samsung.

I ordered this

I watched this review. It's a different box but it looks like it's a rebranded version of the one I posted on Amazon.

It looks like it can give you wireless Carplay and Android Auto (own both in the household) but at the same time it gives me entertainment options like Netflix and YouTube/YouTube TV while I'm out running errands with the wife. It might solve the issue with Android Auto not taking up the entire screen since it uses the Carplay interface of the car in order to display which means the android auto SHOULD be full screen. (i think). It also has a sim slot for an extra line I plan on using with this box. You can pair your phone via bluetooth to the box to play music and take phone calls. All in all it'll be a good chance to experiment and if it sucks, I can return it via Amazon. Now I just need my car hahaha

I had the same issue. But found the only reason to use AA was the good voice nav, soon found Telluride is just a good. Not much difference with phone and music. Though I wish I could get SPOTIFY up on the screen other than just pause, fwd and rev. Have to go to phone to start a new album.

I like AA for it's messaging capabilities outside of text. I can reply back if it's teams, GroupMe, hangout/chats, or Facebook messenger. Sometimes an important message will come in that can't wait. And sometimes it's just easier to send a message to someone because calling isn't an option. Tesla has been decent non-aa system but it lacks even an assistant button which is annoying.
