If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I'm interested in buying an EX, AWD (not towing or premium) preferably Sangria. The local dealership is basically worthless (Bergstrom). I've gone there a few times with questions and the salespeople either didn't know anything or never followed up on my questions, or both.

Is there a way to do the rest of the transaction online, so I don't have to deal with my local shop, or drive an hour away to find a different dealership?

It is called the Internet!

Odd... I just went to Bergstrom in Oshkosh last week and found mine. I live in the NW suburbs of Chicago. Drove 3 hours each way to get it. Best experience I've ever had buying a car, everyone there was really nice. They are one of the few that don't mark up over MSRP and don't throw on BS add-ons.

Most dealers in IL and WI charge over sticker, I know... I called them all and spoke to the GSM's at nearly every dealership within a 200 mile range of my house. I can also tell you which ones were nice and which were tools if you know what I mean.

What questions do you have? Maybe we can help you out. Then once you figure out what you want, you can find the car you want via some of the tools.

The store in Appleton has a couple EX listed there as we speak: New 2020 Kia Telluride For Sale at Bergstrom Kia of Appleton | VIN: 5XYP3DHC4LG075973

See if those are taken (the Appleton store had a couple SXP's listed that are customer orders when I called them a week or 2 back).

I can tell you now, the Darrow and Metro stores in WI are all way over MSRP. Had a couple of them send me pictures of addendums to window stickers over $6-8k.

I think I've managed to get most of my questions answered, at this point. The last question I had was whether there was a Telluride with the configuration I wanted available anywhere or if I'd have to order it. The salesperson wasn't sure and her manager was not available. I was assured I would get a call today (I didn't) and when I called the salesperson this afternoon, I got no answer.

Perhaps, as you pointed out, I've got it good here and just don't realize it. I've just had numerous experiences with the salespeople there being inexperienced or not following through on what they say they will do (this is not the first Kia I've bought) and I'm just frustrated with that part of it. But maybe that is the price you pay for not getting marked up thousands of dollars over MSRP. Obviously the salespeople at the Kia in Muncie are not very helpful, either ;)

😂 They are out there. Just need to search.

My experience could have been more in line with working directly w/ the GSM's right off the bat, and they were both really good at the 2 stores of theirs I worked with. Everything right in line with what Jason, Stephen, and others on here talk about. Walked me through their orders, what they had coming, etc. Extremely personable and no funny business like I saw at nearly every other dealer I talked to. They were both the kind of people you'd want to hang out with and have a beer.

The Muncie guys know what they're doing if you dig around the forums, and help out a ton.. I think that team would own half the orders in the country if Kia would produce the #'s for them. Between them and Stephen down in TX, and a few other folks on this site; They all understand that business is about relationships and treating people well.

In terms of an EX in Sangria without Tow. There are a few coming to WI based on the VIN tool. Waukesha, Wauwatosa, and Oconomowoc all had cars with VIN's on 2/10/20. The 2 Darrow ones, will upcharge you most likely based on what I learned; but you can try. I was looking for an SXP, so a little harder to find.

What you may have to do is be open to getting the premium or tow in an EX and/or be open to color. As I said, there's the one gravity grey/black interior possibly up at the Appleton store without tow. You won't get hosed on the price, it'll be sticker but you won't have to screw around with huge addendums and junk. If you go to do an extended warranty, Jason can help you out with that for a great price even if he doesn't sell you the car.

This may be an option for you if you are willing to make trip to pick it up. Todd Nabb has helped us on a couple occasions and I've found him attentive and not pushy.
