• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... A question that I could use your help with: I have a 2021 Kia Telluride SX Nightfall Edition/Prestige Package. Whenever I turn on the heat or the AC and direct the air toward my feet, I don't feel anything. Where exactly are the lower vents on this vehicle? Are there any? Or is there a problem with my vehicle? Any and all insight is appreciated.

You can easily lay on the floor matt and shine a flashlight up towards the dash to see the vent. It should be right above the footwell under the dash.

Here is a video I took on the passenger side showing the blower motor directly centered above the footwell. The vent outlet is offset to the left of the motor. The drivers side is probably identical or mirrored.

When you change the fan direction did you also manually change the fan speed to maximum? Leaving on Auto (if equipped) will generally always start at low fan speed until the heating/cooling is sufficiently hot/cold. Then it will raise the fan speed.

Are you reporting your experience right after starting the car or after you have allowed time for the car to warm up while driving. Depending on the climate set point and differential to the temp outside will determine how long it takes before you start to feel hot/cold air.

Feeling air blow on your legs could be subjective too. unless you are wearing shorts or have your hands or face under the footwell. Feeling it through pants might not be be the best test method.

I have found that in the "auto mode", the volume of air directed to the footwell is considerably less than that that goes to the upper vents. On cold days, I have pushed the button to direct it to the footwell but have found that, while it does send a bit more that direction, it STILL is putting some out at the upper defrost vents. So.....there does not seem to be a way to tell it "send ALL of the heat to my feat please." .....a design issue.

I, too, have noticed the lack of warm air directed to the footwell areas of the 2021 Kia Telluride. There's plenty hot air coming out of any and all other vents, but it's almost as though there's a leak to the outside air because the air on my legs is actually COLD. And this is with the direction being set to "all lower" and it happens when the car is warmed up and not idling. This seems to be a serious problem. Thoughts?

I see this is a recently revived old thread - but I'm having the same issue. There is no heat when I set everything to blow on my feet. I can hear air moving but it all sounds like it's going onto the windshield. Is this just a design flaw? I took it to the dealer and they told me nothing was wrong. My feet are freezing.

I kind of thought this was an issue in every vehicle, personally. I've always had issues in my cars of getting the heat to properly distribute to the feet, or at the very least, feeling weak when doing so...

I have the same problem with our 2020 EX - absolutely nothing comes out by the feet. I'm currently dealing with the problem of no heat at all during idle/low RPM so this issue has moved to the back burner but it's ridiculous. I live in MN and pretty much have the feet/defrost setting on 100% of the time during the fall/winter/spring.

Has this issue been resolved? I have a 2022 Telluride and currently have no heat on defrost or floor. I live in Alberta Canada and it’s a lovely -30 defrees Celsius most of the winter months!

I should include this only happens at low rpm or stops, other then that heat is great. Starting in minus 30 C the windows are defogging or melting ice though, auto climate is off, auto shut off turned off all of the time. In addition, with the duel climate set to the same settings you can physically feel a difference in cooler to colder temp from the drivers side to passenger. If turned into face vents heat comes out. So this is only happening with defrost and floor but in the winter that’s when I need it lol. Dealership is stumped but finally realizes that it’s not normal and is an issue. I had this vehicle threw last winter and clearly feel the difference. 22,000km

Having the same issue with my 2020 SX. When I have the vents set to central and lower I hardly feel anything in the footwell even at max fan level, guess it's just how this vehicle operates. We have a 2008 Santa Fe and it blows equally with every vent.

While I'm talking about it, is there a way to auto set the vents to operate both front and back at the same time (same temp, same fan speed, same vents)? I know you can auto set the right passenger vents but not sure about the back. I clicked the auto for the back but it doesn't seem to match the front selections.
