• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Map Update v16.0 Arriving May 5th

Im hoping the home screen is updated, and the sirius xm radio gets a huge upgrade. Its currently pretty bad and the update from over a year ago made it worse.
Try it, I'm sure you'll like the new radio interface over the previous one.

Any changes (improvements) to the installation process? There was some confusion (with previous updates) as to when the install was actually complete.
I found the installation process much improved over the last one. Also, I didn't have to keep the car running during the entire process. There's a notice that tells you the update will keep running even if you start the car. I took that to mean you can shut the engine off. I did just that, and set it to Accessory mode, and I didn't get the battery message.

Apologies for not reading through the whole thread, but is there a direct link to the update for 22’s? New to this - just picked mine up.

No. Set it to Accessory.

How to search within a thread so you don’t have to read all posts. The terms “updater” or “website” would also have found one of the posts with a link.

Question as I’m sitting in the car updating now with the engine running (burning $4.15/gal gas 🙄). It’s been running for over 30 min and the status bar is sitting at the 20% mark, normal for those who have installed or is it stuck?

It's not very accurate. Expect 70 minutes total.

Good news is that update isn’t for you because as far as I can tell, you have navigation.

Also, the 2021 potentially isn’t listed because this isn’t really a new update because it first was released a long time ago (check those version numbers) and the 2021 LX and S already have it.
If that were true, the 2021 Telluride owners wouldn't have radio tunes on the radio display. Does anyone know when they are going to release the maps and audio updates for the 2021 and 2022?

I’m just going to go all the way back to the beginning to explain this one.

There are two different head units that have ever shipped on Tellurides.

One is the 10.25“ navigation system, referred to as the Gen 5W navigation. You can find information about that system update here. You update this system via the navigation updater program. Tellurides that have shipped with this system are the 2020 and 2021 EX and SX, and every single 2022. This is the update that is the subject of this page.

The other system is the 8” non-navigation system, referred to as Display Audio (Gen 1). It shipped on the 2020 and 2021 LX and S. You can find information about that system’s update here. This is what was asked about in the post that I was answering. It just provides a bug fix for UVO connectivity on those models (read the description). It does not apply to anyone with navigation. If you have navigation, forget this update even exists, because it isn’t for you.

People ask all the time “do I need to do the audio update?” and similar things… it’s always because they see the separate Display Audio system update, but they fail to actually read the description and see that it has nothing to do with their system.

Update completed, ran the car thru a long drive thru the woods, over and hour to complete, nothing earth shattering to report after the update.

FYI, if you have never updated the 10.5 / Gen 5w head unit / navigation before. It will first update to the newer (but not latest) software version (with the bulb lights for radio digits). I had to run the update a second time in order to get the latest / this current version.

Took about an hour or two to download and load the files on my flash drive.

Probably about 1 hour or so of updating time in the car for each update process.

I left my car on ACC mode with the keys inside and put a trickle charger on the battery just in case (though I dont think this was necessary).

"Full screen" Android auto is nice even though its not "real" full screen like Apple Car play, I believe in due time we will see the wide format used better by AA....at least now the functionality is there.

I do think the navigation system has much improvements also as it seems to find addresses much easier than before an the GUI improved.

Did they change with this update the ability to have a keypad for the phone on the screen? I thought before you could hit numbers to dial while the car was in motion, but it appears they took away?

I agree.

Dumb question but I just got the car in March so this will be my first time to attempt an update. Does it delete all of your settings when it updates or does everything transfer over to the new software edition (radio favorites, ambient light settings, map favorites, camera settings, etc.)?

As long as nothing goes awry, then everything should stay as you left it.
