WIRELESS!What's the benefit of using the dongle if you have Android Auto?

Where is this option located or when does it prompt that says “ Install update after vehicle turned off”? Just curious….Installed yesterday, used the "Install Update after vehicle turned off" function, and it was great once again. Everything looks good, had to set my AAWireless to passthrough mode as noted here earlier, but it works in full screen. Great update.
Not sure why folks are bothering running the vehicle for an hour plus or leaving it on accessory (I tried that the night before and it timed out on me). The option to do this after vehicle turns off is way more eco friendly and worked for me twice now.
anyone lose the weather widget after this update?
You see it when you insert the files or choose to start the update.Where is this option located or when does it prompt that says “ Install update after vehicle turned off”? Just curious….
Thank you so much! Definitely helps if or when I decide to do this update. I just don’t want to loose the 3 screens. Which I am sure if I do this update it will cause that correct? You see it when you insert the files or choose to start the update.
When I initially updated from the November 2021 version, this is what I saw:

The first option is basically the classic quick update, it makes the system unusable but is the fastest. The second is the slow update that allows you to continue to use the system. The last one is the one that allows you to turn the car off and have it do it itself.
It seems like they’re pushing that going forward, because when I re-updated Tuesday night from the newest update to the re-release of the newest update, this is what I saw:

The choices you’re given seem to be determined by what you’re updating from. I updated my wife’s Palisade, on which I had skipped the last three updates. There was no option to do anything with the vehicle off.
They’re gone. This is the fourth update without them.Thank you so much! Definitely helps if or when I decide to do this update. I just don’t want to loose the 3 screens. Which I am sure if I do this update it will cause that correct?
I feel for you. Have you tried the reset button near the volume control knob? You may have to reinstall the update afterward--use the option to install it after the car is turned off if you want to save gas. Also, make sure your thumbdrive is formatted FAT and not NTFS. If you PM me, I'll put up a link to the Gen5 files so you can download them from my Google Drive if you want....I'll keep it available for a couple of days.I've been trying to get my navigator installed for 2 weeks now. Originally 2 weeks ago when I did it, I had nothing but problems afterwards. Nothing involving voice works. I can't talk to the system, it won't read me my text or navigator won't read to me directions ie when to turn. I took it to kia dealer and they were useless. I downloaded it again yesterday. Said download was unsuccessful. I've tried redownloading it several times. I even bought a brand new 64G thumbdrive. I've spent so much time & gas trying to get this thing working it is not even funny. Getting very testy about this problem. Attached is my software version. I guess the # of note is software version 210623?
You can tell by each of those version numbers that the newest update didn’t install. You are just going to have to try again. Probably just start from scratch.I've been trying to get my navigator installed for 2 weeks now. Originally 2 weeks ago when I did it, I had nothing but problems afterwards. Dont give up the 3 screens,,,hang in there, we are the last of the Mohicans.Thank you so much! Definitely helps if or when I decide to do this update. I just don’t want to loose the 3 screens. Which I am sure if I do this update it will cause that correct?
Your hard drive needs more storage space for the temp files before they write to the USBTrying to download the update from the Navigation Updater, I've liked the 3 screen version so haven't updated since that went away, but I'm now getting ready to pull the trigger and update. I've got a 64 GB USB thumb drive (exFAT) it shows 58.73 GB and the Navigator Updater shows Data Size 35GB -Required Hard Drive Space: 59GB. When I try to download I get "Insufficient Hard Disk Storage Space". Anyone else had this issue, how did you resolve?
I downloaded to my hard drive, then drag and dropped the files to my flash drive. My flash drive is 64GB, exFAT. Transfer only files, no folders.Your hard drive needs more storage space for the temp files before they write to the USB
I installed with the engine off but the car on and it worked fine.is update after vehicle turned off greyed out for just me?
