• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello!
Just to preface this post, all of my information comes from a phone call with my mother (the owner of the telluride) so I apologize for the lack of a detailed description. Anyway, her Telluride is a 2021 model with 38k miles, and in her words, it has been "sputtering and shifting late." The check engine light will usually come on when this happens, but not always. I have not been able to find much about misfiring issues with these engines, but I suspect either a bad coil or injector. The dealer has not been helpful so far because they could not replicate the issue, and she does not have any kind of scan tool right now to investigate on her own. As far as the shifting, I've read a little bit about other people experiencing the transmission slipping into neutral but nothing about slow or delayed shifts. I have a feeling this is just the car trying to deal with the misfiring.

Please let me know if you've heard of or experienced an issue like this!
Thanks!

Rent a code reader, if the check engine light came on there is a code in memory which will tell you where to look for what is wrong.....
