  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So we received the call from the dealership the other day with our delivery date and the VIN just showed in Failcat but when looking at the sticker the hitch and the cross bars are not listed. Any suggestions from dealers on here on how to handle this situation? Crossbars aren’t a dealer breaker but not having the hitch installed and wired is a bit frustrating. Could this have been a dealer mistake or just over looked? Any thoughts on this are appreciated.

A hitch is a very common accessory for the dealer to install after the delivery. Nothing to worry about.

Ask your dealer for any info they have on when they submitted your order to Kia when it was accepted. If dealer error you’d see on there that they forgot to add the hitch. If the hitch was listed then Kia just didn’t add it at the factory. That has happened from time to time if they don’t have any available and they just ship it without it to not hold up the order.

The hitch is easy to install but what about the load leveling. From what I have read if you do not get the hitch when you order the car you do not get the load leveling.

That’s true but he didn’t say what he ordered, or attempted to order. Lx, s only have hitch with wiring harness, no load leveling shocks. Ex, sx has option for hitch only too but if you get the tow package you get the shocks as well.

Heres your problem right here! He didint say what he ordered...as soon as he orders whatever you supposed to get a copy of what you asked for....

You can order a hitch without load-leveling from the factory. Only the tow package (different than just the tow hitch) gets load-leveling shocks.

Oops - everyone has already said it
