MSRP Dealers in New England

Got a call from Ken 2 weeks ago, said my order came in, did not see it anywhere on fail cat. Went to dealer sure enough it was missing Nightfall and folding cargo mat. Refused the order, he let me reorder and transfer my deposit. Waited 7 months, I did tweak the order with some options ( like Nightfall ) after I originally placed the first time with no Nightfall, my tweaks did not follow up with the order, not entirely Ken's fault. The other mark up was my 2017 Honda Pilot Elite with 28K miles, Kelly has it at $36,500, the trade in manager quoted me $31,500. Morale of story do not trade in, but also expect to pay 6.25% MA sales taxes on 30K. that would be a savings of $1,800. Now waiting to see if my 2022 will turn into a 2023!

we ordered at mastria kia in raynham, ma in june 2021...was at msrp...not sure about now

Just got mine at Mastria this week, they're currently charging $5000 over
ouch

Yesterday I went back to Lev Kia and cancelled my 2023 Telly for a 2023 Kia Sorento plug-in Hybrid. With the gasoline prices escalating, not very smart to buy at 20MPG instead of 79 MPGe SX Prestige AWD It seats 6 has a 3rd. row. And is selling at MSRP. Has a all electric range of 32 Miles. Ken said wait time is a bit longer than a Telly.

I understand where you're coming from. I briefly considered that option too, but given my "drive sooner, not later" buying philosophy (explained here: Quickie Telluride shopping sequence), the task was hopeless for me. For example, Kia's corporate website reports that there are currently 114 Tellurides within 100+ miles of me. (I'm not sure what "100+" means, but that's Kia's largest market parameter. Note that it defines an area of at least 31,416 square miles!) Now, much of that is phantom inventory, as I've complained previously -- the Tellurides are either already sold, reserved by someone, or coming "soon." But it does at least indicate that Tellurides are moving in and out of the region. I was able to buy one in 10 days, so I've confirmed that they're around. But how many Sorento PHEVs are listed as currently within the same huge region? Zero. Nada. Maybe someday.

Are their any KIA dealers in New England (NH/VT/ME/MA) that are actually selling @ MSRP?
Balise KIA in West Springfield, MA has no markup and the general manager there Mike is really great to work with, no pressure is put on the customer. I ordered a 2022 SX Prestige last September and told it would take 6 months, my order was still delayed with no pick up date in site so the dealer offered me just last week an incoming EX premium that was the wolf grey color I wanted so I grabbed it. I couldn’t wait much longer with my family needs and very happy with the EX, it has the majority of features I was looking for.

this car is on my list (as well as the regular hybrid version) for when i replace my subaru...curious how you like it

No kidding!! They said it's the "standard market adjustment of $5000". It's too darn bad I loved and wanted the Telly so much, or else I would've walked. Talk about payment shock...gag
i def would have walked if they did that to us...i wasn't about to pay over msrp...it's my wife's car she wanted the telluride...didn't test drive it and didn't look at any other vehicles...not a very informed decision in my opinion but whatever...could have just slid over to a palisade cause it's very similar...but i would have went with a highlander or a pilot if i was making the decision alone or it was going to be my car

Bumping this thread up, anyone with more recent experiences in New England? I'm looking for an EX AWD, Nightfall, no towing. I'm in no rush so a 6-8 mo factory wait isn't a concern, I'm just looking for MSRP or as close as possible. Thanks!
I just bought a Kia Telluride at Van Syckle in Bangor ME. Black on Black. I have owned it 5 weeks. They charged me almost 7,000 OVER MSRP he told me that is the way it is at all dealers. I was so frustrated and his response was, you should try buying a house in this market if you think car sales have gone up.

Thank you all for this thread and the forum. I am new here . I am in SE MA . i had been about the pull the trigger on the Ascent but in last minute reading find some positive reading to the telluride and even sorento. i need to learn the trim levels to narrow down but want to maximize any possible off road capability . I live near Mastria i see mentioned here but will never consider over MSRP. Difficult enough to concede at msrp. lev would be a long drive for me but if there is nothing closer in the thread .....Is there a preferred Salesperson? i saw one name mentioned but wasn't sure it was favorably mentioned? i apologize for being long winded. i wanted to thank you and just poke a bit to see if there are options for MSRP or less closer to the mastria dealer area.
no one is mentioning whether dealers are trying to force financing with them and/or forcing additional packages or fees. another common expensive tactic. it all adds up. like paying 3% higher a rate than you would through your bank or buying the "brake plus" package, or window etching package or the custom spinach and bean finish protectant guaranteed for the life of your car or unil you shut the door, whichever comes first.

Thank you. I can't say for certain till I get to try them on. i believe it will be the telluride. we drove one a year back and recall liking it allot. but i also recall sitting in a sorento x line since then and didn't mind it either. i do recall driving hyndai varients at some point and thinking they felt very anemic. i need to reach out to Lev. they are a ride for me noting my health but i really need to find and try both vehicles to see which way to go. till this point i had been looking outback, ascent and full size pickup.
trying to keep this relevant we see that mastria kia is charging over msrp. looks like it may vary by vehicle as listening to my wife compare invoice from monroni to their price ranges so far from 2K to 10K about. i could be wrong i suppose. also inquired with the kia dealer in dartmouth and was told they charge over msrp but they vary the amount by what we pick out.

so that is 2 down so far. .

I have a GWP Sx coming next week that I got at MSRP Charlie’s Augusta. I have been waiting since August though:(

Congrats on your "GWP" what ever that is in your lingo
