When I tried to start my 2020 LX AWD last weekend: all the warning lights went on and stayed on, and the brake pedal locked. Waited a few minutes, attempted again (brake pedal still "locked"), and did start as normal (brake pedal also "unlocked" at that time).
Took it to local Kia dealership service and they found an error code pointing at "low ignition voltage". They did a diagnostic and, so far, are finding that the battery supposedly needs to be replaced then they can do further testing afterwards.
Anyone run into asimilar issue before, and as it due to a battery needing replacement? To add: I'm in Pasadena CA and it's gotten only to around 39F at the lowest and was around 50F when it happened.
Recommendations on a replacement battery? Tried searching around here and didn't see much recommendations (yet)... I do plan on taking my vehicle on some trails, and probably would be good to get a replacement that won't get affected too much by the weather if I plan on going to such places. Dealership said warranty on my (OEM) battery is only 2 years so they quoted me $385 installed for an OEM replacement... seems a little high...
