Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. One other thing - consider not adding any dealer parts until after your purchase. Some members indicated they got a promo coupon from a dealer AFTER they closed the initial deal. Regardless, I think Costco auto will give you a parts discount even if you can't get the Telluride at Costco pricing.

@bcjenkins Good point. Most of the parts (post-purchase from the Parts department) are close enough in price to order after delivery of the Telly, however the one option I noticed a big difference in price was the OEM Cargo Cover.
The Cover, if included from the factory and listed on the sticker, is in the mid $100s. A Parts departments order for the same exact accessory can run $210 and up. Maybe this has changed since my order, but it was the more glaring price difference I noticed.
I ordered the OEM Carpeted Cargo mat, OEM Floor Mats and OEM Wheel Locks for pretty much what the price would be on the factory sticker, so not as big a deal with those, and if y'all can get Costco Auto parts discounts, then great!
Also, because I wasn't able to get Illuminated Scuff Plates included in the factory order/sticker, it would have cost a lot for a dealer install so I passed on it. I realize it's an easy DIY thing but I'm quite happy with my Telly with the standard aluminum door sill plates. Nice lines

Hi guys, prospective owner here. What is the kdealer/ kFos hack? I live near Schaumburg and Schaumburg Kia said they would do an order at MSRP. Anyone deal with them and any good or bad reviews? Anyone else near Schaumburg that used a different dealer? Thinking of ordering in the next week. Should I wait for the Chicago Auto Show? I will probably go with the Dark Moss EX - still deciding between FWD/AWD and other things.

I placed an order with Schaumburg Kia back in the front half of May. They also told me MSRP T, T, & L with std fees. I can tell you that once I placed my order, they were unresponsive. Search for the forum Experience with Schaumburg Kia if you want to read a bit more about them. Like you, I can't find much on them, good or bad and was hoping to get some details on the actual closing process.

Try Classic Kia up in Waukegan, IL. They sell at MSRP and were great to work with. John was excellent and responsive and always gave detailed updates when they were available. He would check in even when there weren't updates. Ours came in record time but that's probably mostly luck. There were no games on the day we came to pick it up. Everything went very smoothly. Also, they do a refundable deposit so you could always go the the Auto Show anyways and no loss if you change your mind.

We ordered ours on April 15th and it was at the dealer by May 20th. 5 weeks. Considering most people wait 3-9 months I thought that was pretty good. Like I said though, that was luck. John was clear from the beginning that it would probably take 3-6 months at that time. I think we just happened to have a build that matched up with one already being built that hadn't been assigned to a factory yet. The factory also goes through phases of building more of one trim or another so there are a lot of factors that go into it.

@mrjoe50 listen to @Tortuga07 i think he is who i got my advice from! I was in a berwyn kia and they charged over 5000$ msrp and i left them and took my $1000 deposit and went to classic kia. Everything there was great i dealt with john as well.. it was a good experience..

I was going to do the EX but my daughter and wife told me to go for the SX. The car will be around at least 10 years so I did.

For us it was kind of a similar thought process but different conclusions. I figured if we went SX we'd keep it for 10 years, since we went for EX we'll probably keep it 8. Actually though, we're in the process of switching to a 2022 because of the current value of our 2021 and we decided to switch to GWP.
I love the way the GW looks but I feel like Im seeing the same color on a lot of different brands right now. Other than the color and being a year younger, it wouldnt change much from what you have currently.

Year younger is the main reason. Dial back the odometer and warranties. We avoided white initially because we feel like it's so common. But after seeing it in person a few times we've decided we want GWP anyways.

Hi everyone, new to this forum and so glad to have found it. We’re in the northwest suburbs of Illinois and was about to put an order/deposit for a SXP order at Schaumburg Kia. However I walked out as they tried to say VIN etching was mandatory and part of my taxes/fees. I already had an idea of what my OTD price should’ve been so when they tried to sneak in fees like that and play it off as ‘few dollars to my monthly payment’, I walked out. That being said, any other dealers that you’d recommend? I might try Classic Kia next that someone mentioned here.
