  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I bought new cars out of state and brought back to CA and never paid an extra charge. It's been a while, though.
They really ding you with little fees. I ran the calculator for my county - $2 more for out of state. Dealer BS

The only additional charges would be getting the vehicle smogged and VIN inspected which the DMV can do. So $40-50 additional depending on your local smog shop.

You may also pay any additional tax differences between CO and CA but those are taxes you would have to pay either way. It would have just been rolled into the purchase price for in-state.

As someone who just finished registering their Telluride with the DMV, the biggest additional cost is just the trip to the DMV which wasn't too bad for me in the San Jose area.

Because of Kia’s scheduling of production, my eta is much later than other orders, unfortunately. I’m visiting CO this week, so I dropped by i25 to chat with a couple of people there. Will ba back in February to pickup the Telluride.
