  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello, I'm new and keep getting a pop-up asking me to introduce myself, so here goes. I live in Minnesota, near the Twin Cities. I'm currently a 2007 Subaru Tribeca owner who recently ordered a Telluride though Lupient Kia. I had been planning on getting an Ascent, but my wife suggested I look into the Tellurides and I decided to go with one of them, for obvious reasons! I ordered it a few weeks ago and got the date of 3/24/21 for delivery last week. No VIN yet. I ordered an SX with tow package in Everlasting Silver with black interior. I'm excited to take delivery. I'm nearly 47 years old and this will be my very first brand new car. I'm planning on leasing since I'm tired of car repairs, although my dealer did try and talk my into buying. I just want a new, reliable car and to not have to worry about tires, brakes, and everything else that goes with maintaining a car. Would like to hear from others that are leasing, he told me it's about 9 to 1 buying over leasing. I'm also interesting in learning the tech in this car. I just found out through this forum that Apple Car Play is not wireless in the Telluride, so I'm a little bummed about that. But, this will be my first car with bluetooth anything, so it's still a huge upgrade.

Good to meet ya'll!

I didn't know leasing covered wheels, tires, and brakes unless you bought maintenance/service contract. You can buy the same contract/warranty for financing as well if that was the only reason you went with leasing. Regardless, you made a good choice on your car. I strongly recommend reading up on the forum or online manual while waiting for your car to arrive. Good luck!

Welcome! The Ascent was on the top of my list at one point...I think that the KT is a better choice. Cheers.

Thanks!

I didn't mean the lease included extra coverage, just that swapping out a car every three years means I will not hit those milestones. Of course I could always buy it and trade in after three years, but with the lower lease payment, it's a trade-off in the long run, as far as I can tell.

Good idea about reading the manual. I will do that!

Duuuuude! Great purchase and in the best colour! Lol. You're gonna love it when you get it.

People seem to like products like CPLAY2air to get wireless Apple Car Play - CPLAY2air wireless adapter for factory CarPlay on CARPLAY2air.com. Check it out.

I watched a lot of videos about this car before I bought. I learned a lot about all the tech and the gadgets that way. Honestly, there's so much, it takes awhile! But there are so many good video reviews on YouTube.

Congrats on your first new car! That's awesome.
