Forum Members.... I need some assistance. We have a new website launching next month. Completely different from what we have now. What do you all like or dislike when you visit all of the typical dealer sites? What's easy for you, what's difficult and what do you hate? Any info you can provide is helpful. Thank You!

Hate those little pop up chats! They can not even answer a simple question! Plain annoying!

AGREE!!!!! Hate the pop up chats so much!!!!!! If you have them please have a way to disable after you x out the first time. Good god they suck! I've left sights because these annoying pop up chats prevent me from looking at a dealer's inventory. And has one of them ever answered anybody's question?

Never! They just want to know what u will be trading and have to check they didn’t even know what a telluride was!

All handled by 3rd party companies. These are mainly designed to gather leads. They are pretty bad though.
 
Hate when the website offers an on-line quote and you ask for one, but never get it. Only e-mails and phone calls to come in and visit the dealership. Don't offer an online quote if you don't want to give one. I've purchased vehicles in the past because of a good online quote, but also have written off dealerships that ignore the request.
 
My biggest complaint about ALL "commercial websites" is ACCURACY...........in these days of APPS and mobile phones, etc., websites are commonly not well maintained. There needs to be someone who is responsible for it and consistently maintains the info. , etc.
 
Agree, the pop up asking you if they can help you, the accuracy of inventory. They need to describe the vehicle better (does it have the prestige package, tech package, premium package, etc.). Manufacturer discounts and make the price on the site before discounts since not everybody will be eligible for all discounts.

I can't agree more. Car Pros Kia Renton near Seattle area has had the same Moss/Black Telluride SX on their web site for close to 80 days. I made the mistake of calling to schedule a test drive when it was newly listed only to learn that vehicle is no longer available. 2 months+ later the same Telluride VIN: 5XYP5DHC7LG027278 is still on the site. They're basically leaving it on there as a place holder in order to get people's contact information.

I dislike stock vehicle photos. Take photos of the real car for sale. Even if it's only a single shot. Stock photos lead me to believe the vehicle is not in stock and/or is already sold. If a vehicle is sold prior to it's arrival on the lot, don't even list it on your web site's inventory.

Stock photos usually post when the vehicle is in transit. We try to have photos up 1-2 days after arrival.

I'm wondering if anyone that placed an order for an SX in early August has gotten their Telluride yet? Our dealership told us 8-12 weeks (closer to 10) were his exact words.....
