• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Newbie Issues ??

Soooo, nobody will bring up the gas tank door lmao? Or was I the only slow one for not reading the manual before getting gas the first time 🤣🤦‍♀️? You have to press unlock one time on fob, to make sure driver door is unlocked. THEN press on the gas tank door to get it to open. If you don't, then your fingers will be freezing while you're trying to pry it open with something flat bc you think it was frozen shut in -10 degree weather like I did 😏🙄😒😂
LOL ...... I just read in the manual last week how the fuel tank door operates (driver door locked or unlocked).

Never saw this issue raised by anyone in the forum until now.

Apparently, I don't know, or am not aware of what the issue is with the gas tank door? I get out of the car, push on the filler door, it opens, and I put gas in the car. Is that what we're talking about here? Or is it something else?

There is a safety feature included - when your driver door is locked, your fuel tank door is also locked - you can't push on the fuel door to get it opened. Will only open when the driver door is unlocked.

Oh, OK. That makes sense to me. Helps keep unwanted things/people out of the gas tank. I think I like that safety feature. It's better than having a gas cap with a lock on it (which I have had in the past), I think.

Can anyone help me with the upgrdade ive read about on radio? I got mine in November so it might be updated, just want to make sure im not missing something amazing!

If you’re ready for some UI changes, the Nov 2020 map update is out today (for those with the 10.25” screen).

update.kia.com

It has the neon-style look (like the K5 and other recent Kias) and a new home Screen.

Thanx YAH DEF for the attached manual of features.....condensed and VERY helpful !

So, what happens if you re-insert the headrests backwards ? Or just remove them ?
I unfortunately did it. I had some very thin sheet metal (brass) probably about 26 gage or so, roughly construction paper thickness. I cut off a piece that was curved already to fit and slid it down around the problematic headrest shaft (the one with the notches) While this happened over a year ago, with that "sleeve" in place, I was able to extract the headrest without causing damage. Trust me, it will only happen to you once, I know focus on the direction of the headrest.

I should be getting my new Telly this week !! And frankly, all the "Tech Stuff" scares me !! What are some newbie "Whoops" I should try to avoid ?
Thank you for asking this question!! I am in the same tech boat coming from a 2000 SUV to my new Telly. After we got home last night from picking it up at the dealer, it looked like a bridge on a starship to me. The owner's manual will be our best friend for a while especially after my hubbie was pushing all kinds of buttons last night wondering what does this do? LOL

Don't forget to bring your wife into the car when you set things up, and be prepared to sit there in the driveway for about an hour exploring all of the options. It's a lot of stuff but it's also really amazing. It's incredible how many settings there are that make your ride extremely enjoyable. You'll have a blast with your Telluride. We're almost a year in and still tweaking. 😊
My hubby and I are splitting a gut over the first sentence!

It's actually my wife's car, but I do most of the driving. Happy wife happy life. 👍🤣
