• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... hey all,

just wondering if anyone has looked into obtaining any swap/replacement Nightfall parts ad hoc as of yet?
i've always said the SX trim elements & colors were/are just about perfect as-is, bar the front & rear skids which should be black!
there may of course be a delay as KIA produces them for actual vehicles rather than repairs/swaps, of course.

thanks to anyone who has any info or insight.

Yes! I would love to have the front and rear KIA emblems on my SXP. Love the smoked look of the badging on the NE. Eventually they will need to be available for body shops. I still prefer all the other standard satin trim pieces...but those NE badges are sweet! I wonder if the NE wheels and SXP wheels are the same color black - if so then the wheel caps would be a good swap as well.

@StephenCantrelle I would be willing to pay Classic KIA to swap them out at the dealership before I take delivery if the parts are available by the time my car comes in.

I too would like a few of the nightfall bits and bobs. Emblems, grill, skid plates, etc.

Looking forward to seeing how these look on a SX.

Hopefully I can get them for my SXP. If so - I will post pictures. Hoping that @StephenCantrelle can work a small miracle for me and get some to put on my Gravity Gray SXP later this summer. Easy way for a dealership to make a little cash by having them installed as a POI accessory.

Following here. Got a quote for my SXP to have a chrome delete and it was just over $1k, so am curious if ad hoc parts are the same or cheaper since it is only $1200 from the factory

$1k is the lowest I've seen for a Chrome delete. I don't expect that you'll be able to find parts for a few months if not a year. I'd go the delete route for that price. I'm sure parts will be marked up as always from manufacturer.

Instead of replacing parts, Couldn't just cover them with a high quality black vinyl? Seams more cost efficient.

I guess the biggest question in my mind is how long the vinyl will last over the life of the car vs paying a little more for the actual nightfall parts that will hopefully last as long. If I have to pay for vinyl twice or more over 10 years at $1k each vs 1500-2000 once and not worry about it...I may opt for real parts

I really like the smoked headlight lenses. The badges are also neat. The rest of the NE, I could do without. I’m not the biggest fan of the wheels or the grill. I like the grill as it is. In fact, I think the standard one presents the aggressive nature that really turned me on to the car.
Trim can be covered with vinyl. The front and rear satin elements, I’m ok with them as they are, but I do agree with you- those should be black and the side trim elements could stay satin. Eventually, the parts will be available for purchase. But until then, I’ll wait patiently until the car is in the driveway before making mental purchases!
Let us know what you find! I’ll be living through your modifications while I wait

I work at a Kia dealership and just the grill alone is $500 at my cost 🙄

Chrome delete is the way I'm going to go
That's not even including installing them

If you could quote out the badges also I'm sure a lot of folks would appreciate it. Thanks

I'd be interested in seeing how much the badges would be.

spoke to my Parts Dept. & they got back to me that the black NE skids are approx.
F: $525
R: $225
presumably these are non-installed costs.

& to reiterate my cost to 3M black wrap both was approx. $500.
in my experience (here in ATX, garaged) wrapped parts 'last' max 2-3 yrs.

Is a new grill really that hard to install?
