• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Nightfall wheels vs SX wheels

I'm with you on the NE wheels -- I just can't get on board with them. I like the NE package otherwise (though also prefer the grill design of the SXP). I think the wheels are polarizing -- you either love them or hate them.

Same here on the NE wheels. I can't pull the trigger until i see them in person. I've seen a couple of YT videos where the statement "they look better in person" regarding the wheels is mentioned.

I am sure that its very personal, but I was anti-nightfall wheels, then I saw them in person and changed my order to Nightfall.

The Nightfall package is nice, but I personally do not like the Nightfall wheels compared to the black SX wheels. Has anyone purchased a Nightfall edition but had their dealer swap the wheels for the regular SX ones?
The dealer cannot “swap the wheels for the regular SX ones”. B-real! Where are they supposed to get the regular SX wheels from? There are no wheel options on the Telluride. Unfortunately this ain’t Ford Motor Company.

I have had other car dealers swap wheels with other cars they had on their lot. I realize that might be hard to do if they don’t have any available Tellurides on their lot, but it is possible.

I love the wheels. At first glance, I thought the SX wheels looked better, but now being the owner of a Nightfall, the wheels look fantastic. They are even a bit more unique than the SX wheels comapred to the marketplace.

Honestly the NE wheels grew on me in person as well. So we bought a NE after seeing it in person. On a side note: I detailed a neighbors SX non-nightfall and those wheels are tough to clean. NE wheels are much easier !!!

i went and saw a white EX with the NE on a dealer lot nearby ($5k markup btw). Everything about the NE is really stunning. Even the "EX" and "AWD" is blacked out. The whole look just works.

Posting a comparison pic for reference.

There are many people on this forum who dislike the nightfall wheels. I am on the opposite side, I actually think they add ruggedness to the image of the nightfall edition and complete the look. Of course, it's all cosmetic.

This is one of the reasons why I will not be purchasing the non fall edition just the wheels alone.

Yup, it's all personal preference. That being said I prefer the SX wheels by far.

Where do i find a detailed explanation, with pictures if possible, of what the nightfall pkg adds? At first attempt playing around with a build Online, I thought I had to get the nightfall pkg to get the black wheels. I find out now, after reading this thread, I don’t, and can chk the box for black wheels.
thanks
Jim

Funny - I was going to post a comment about the sx wheels being a pain to clean...

The Kia website will run down all the changes made by Nightfall.

Short answer is, it makes everything black. All the trim is made black or black chrome, door handles are made body color.

There is a comparison of regular SX vs Nightfall wheels above.

If you’re looking at an EX Premium, the Nightfall wheels will replace the silver 20” wheels.

The only way to get black wheels from the factory is to get any SX (regular or Nightfall) or the EX Premium with Nightfall.

Thanks for the response! When doing a build, I selected the option for 20” black wheels and I believe it increased the price around $4000. Seems a title extramarital as I’m thinking you could buy an aftermarket set of4 for not much more than $1000-$1200.

Well, if you’re building an EX, the Nightfall edition requires AWD ($2000) and the Premium package ($1695), plus Nightfall itself is $1295. So it depends on what you already have selected when you choose the Nightfall package. If you have only chosen an EX FWD when you add Nightfall, your price is going up basically $5000.
