  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have been reading through some threads within this forum and I’m confused. I really want to factory order a Kia Telluride, but I can’t find a website or anything like that to build my vehicle. Seems like every time I think I’m buying one online it just ends up showing me a list of dealers near me. Feeling pretty dumb right now lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

this forum is fantastic btw. Very informative.

You can’t order a car off the Kia website like Amazon or ebay. Unfortunately we are not there yet in the times for default buying experience.

The closest to that you can get as a buying experience is nowcar.com. They essentially work with the dealer on your behalf and deliver to you.

Thread 'Nowcar.com'
Nowcar.com

Carvana and Vroom are also alternatives but mainly for used cars.

The builder tool on the Kia website is mainly just for you to see how it can be configured with the options and accessories available from the manufacturer. Once you configure to your liking, the tool is meant to search inventory in your area/zip code and direct you to the nearest dealers with inventory matching your build.

The only official way to order a car through Kia is with the help of a dealership. This is where the experience can vary widely depending on the dealer. If you print the configuration from the Kia builder website, a good dealer should be able to order it exactly as you specified. The benefit of ordering is that you get the exact trim/options you want, and usually the primary way most dealers will not add markups to the purchase price. The negative, is that you will need to wait for the Kia order system to pick up your order once placed, which depends on your spot in line, dealer volume, and trim you choose (SX is longest wait).

Two threads I recommend to check out for buying options.
