• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... November update available for download

Can anyone in this thread with the most up to date firmware/update and the Ambient Lighting feature (NOT mood lighting) confirm if KIA has fixed the error message folks were getting when trying to unselect [ambient] lighting "auto-dimming while driving" feature?

See thread here:

and here:

Can anyone confirm this option came with the updates?

Will the latest version (released last week), bring my system up to date, or, do I need to load the April, 2021, update first?
Yes, installing the latest update will get you current.

You couldn’t install an older update even if you wanted to, because the only thing you can download is the newest one.

Actually, I could install the older update. I have the flash drive containing the April version. But, decided to hold onto it. Thanks for answering my question, and for the info you posted about the various updates. 👍

BTW, I plan to load the latest version soon. No need for the April update.

Not sure if mentioned. Another small change I noticed was a new animation for the drive modes.

I sent an email to Greg Silvestri at Kia. As the Vice President for Service & After Sales Operations, I'm hoping he was the right executive to reach out to. Let's see if he has the interest and power to make the changes most people here want.

yes, still not working this am. So if you did upload the update, what is wrong with it?
What's the chances that it's not a bad bug but one that allowed some functionality without a UVO subscription? I'm still on the last pre-purple edition but I never use onboard audio just CarPlay and want to update my maps.

I’ve been on the update since it released and I haven’t seen any issues.

Looks like a new download app rebranded with the new KIA logo is available to download, but the actual Infotainment download is still offline.

How is everyone getting this? I keep getting: "Download for this vehicle is not yet available." for my Telluride attempt to download.

Looks like they are going for the TRON look. I can’t say they executed it well though.
We've been referring to it as the "Barney" update.

Downloading now, installing tonight. Will report back lol.

I downloaded and copied the software to a USB drive, but when I try to install, it says the media device contains no files. Any insights? I can see the files on the drive when plugged into my computer.
