• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... November update available for download

So is the update no longer using the purple tuyeah purple tubes and you have access to the 3 screens, what are the glitches ?
Still purple, no 3 screens and no glitches that I have noticed for my 2022 SXP.

Overall, I’m happy with the update. CarPlay getting turned off was a scare, but that was all I have for “issues”

I just started navigation updater and received the following: "Navigation updates are being prepared for this vehicle. This service will be available as soon as possible." Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.

That is the safest bet if you don’t want the car to turn off mid install. In the past some have been able to get away with using a battery charger during the install and the car stays on through the entire update, 45+ minutes. With the April 2021 update, the car still shut off even with my charger plugged in. It was finally able complete the install my second attempt keeping the car “awake” by moving the volume knob every 15-20 minutes.
You can turn off the engine and use a battery tender and turn on the emergency flashers and it will not turn off the nav unit.

This is the same method I'm using. I use the battery tender and it does not automatically shut off during update. The only difference is that I'm not using the emergency flashers. I hope this update will clear up the interstate exit number issues I've been having in New England region.

Same here. I've previously turned the vehicle on (not just ACC), connected my battery charger and let the update do its own thing worked every time so far. Downloading the current update as I type this. Will advise when I install.

Installed today without issue.

Has anyone used the option presented to install the next time the vehicle turns off? This definitely seems like the most seamless, as I had to leave my car running for over 50 minutes today during the install.

looks like they removed the option (which was a bug that said "controller error') of keeping the ambient light bright when driving on early 22. Was hoping they keep it but fix the bug.

oops! double post

Correct. That's why I ended up downloading direct to the flash drive. When I copied the update files directly to the root level of the flash drive it still did not recognize them. In any event, downloading direct to the flash drive works and keeps it simple.

Yes, I was able to change it back to MPH. It's in the Nav menu which is not where I would have put it as a software developer. If memory serves it was Setup > Nav > Display > Information > Units
Ugh, I looked for that MPH setting for like a half hour this spring when I did mine. Did not make sense where I found it.
I used the same USB stick to update my Aunt's and her car did not switch to KM. I thought that was weird.

Agree. ALL settings should be saved and restored when performing an update. Also agree that the mph setting is not where it should be. Vehicle settings is where most of us first look I would venture to guess.

That's how I ended up installing mine. It failed on my drive with the "background" option. I chose to install after shutdown, and checked on it a couple times - there it was, installing when I put the car in ACC to double check. Was done 20 min later.

I popped in the usb and picked up my daughter at practice with it running the whole time. Took a little less then an hour.

I also noticed a new menu for maintence in the display - at least I do not think it was there before.View attachment 23816

@TheNip73 Is this image 👆 from the 2022 update?

Just completed (20-21) update. No issues with settings getting reset. But I don't think I saw this option on my menu.

It's such an odd omission not allowing the owner to change the color scheme. They provide it for the ambient lighting. From a software standpoint, it's simple to allow color changes. Same opinion when it comes to the 3 screen option. They had it so why not keep that code and just make it a configurable option?

Yes really should be a easy update for them to implement. They should of atleast picked a more universal color scheme as well lol.
