If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

Apologies if this question has been previously asked and answered…

I placed my order 10/01 and was told two weeks later it was picked up by Kia, but the dealer could not give me an ETA.

Does Kia provide dealers with an ETA when they pick up the order, when a VIN is generated, or at some other time?

Just wondering at what point I’ll have an ETA, given that my order was picked up.

Thanks!

Re-ordered a new color (and went to the back of the line) on 9/3… Was just notified my vehicle will be at the dealership on 11/15!

I was quoted $1,500 for uncovered, $1,900 for covered to CA. I think you can arrange your own for cheaper.
Just quoted the same… having mine sent to Bay Area. Maybe they end up on the same transporter!

I ordered the same thing. Kia is not manufacturing a lot of the plain EX. Sometimes they will go weeks without a new one showing up on Failcat. I ordered August 20th, order was picked up September 12th, but the vin didn't get generated until just the other day. My ETA is in December. So they are definitely slower. That, in combo with the allocation you mentioned, could make for a long wait.
I ordered July 5 the EX with p/t, it got picked up Sept 16 -I don't have a vin but an eta for Jan 1

Just got a call from the dealer I ordered an S from, they had an EX-P order fall through and I asked if I was interested in moving up instead of waiting…

I said sure as long as they can do it at MSRP- he said they can’t and are listing it at $58K+.

Laughed and said I’d wait.

That’s insane. I would shop around the country for the best deal. You don’t have to settle for the local dealers in your area. That’s a ridiculous price! I paid 51k for 2022 Sx, nightfall, prestige, towing, awd, Napa leather

Ordered from Yonkers Kia on July 26. Received VIN on October 12. Delivery on November 9!
Updated to add that while my vehicle was delivered to Yonkers Kia on November 9th, they sold it to someone else on November 10th without returning my calls about scheduling pick up. Terrible experience... Do not order from Yonkers.

How could they do that? Did you put money down?

Yes, I put $1k down when I ordered. I'll probably never know what really happened behind the scenes there, but the final story they told me is that the name on an order is meaningless and that dealerships can reallocate vehicles as they see fit. They offered me a future incoming Wolf Gray EX (with different options) coming in another month, at the same markup of $3k over MSRP. No concessions whatsoever for screwing me over.

I would tell them I want my $1,000 back for breach of contract especially if you put money down and signed. Also did they give you the VIN number or did you find it?

Type "Fuccillo" into the dealer search in failcat........
Fuccillo has a number of dealerships in NY … Billy Fuccillo used to divide his time between NY and FL. In Failcat, a search on dealer code “NY090” will show Tellurides invoiced to Fuccillo Kia in Schenectady, NY.

They gave me my VIN in writing, along with a printout that showed my name attached to the order in system. They said they will refund the deposit. If that doesn't happen shortly, I will absolutely go after them for the money with interest.

I wonder how many people they've done that to. Maybe yours was given to somebody who they screwed over last month, and the one they offered next month was just going to screw over the next person.

And perhaps a note to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs in your state, the Better Business Bureau, and contact any local TV stations who profile these types of complaints. Best of luck to you.

Yep - cancelling mine today. I was coming from a long line of Ford Explorers, but was enamored by the look and tech offered by the Telluride. Drove a 2021 Explorer Limited yesterday, found it has most of the same tech that the Telluride has, fits my comfort level of knowing the Explorer well, and (most importantly) was right there available for immediate purchase, so I drove it home. Not disappointed.
Enjoy the 3 year, 36K warranty.
